Artist Daiva Kairevičičiūtė from Lithuania is a craft drawing that reflects femininity through various stages of life and identity shadows. Her characters are often presented in black, in contrast to the popularity of flowers or creatures that reside in the work.
“The author says her work may be a short story about herself, moments, eyes and actions,” the gallery Artlofter said. “Each painting is a stagnant movement with depth in a black-shaped container. Black is a symbolic ocean that absorbs all experiences of existence, in which new and old forms appear and flow… The movement betrays, red, green or blue, like a refreshing river, paints this ephemeral emotion.”
