In the hands of KT bean hands, shells have disturbing qualities. The sculptor said she created “the strange thing about future humans”: teeth, eyes and other human body parts and organs appear unexpectedly.
“During her travels, she has become an avid collector of odd trinkets and artifacts over the years, and is now the inspiration for her work,” her website says. “Untilizing her obsession with strange objects and a desire to create works inspired by science and nature, this led to John’s beans. In addition to making disturbing objects made of teeth, shells, eggs, eggs, eyes and human hair, Kelly is also a practice illustrator, mixed media artist and symbolist.”
