Revealing Hidden IT Talent: Beyond Resume

As an IT agent recruiter, I feel it is my role to find that customers cannot find their own people. This is not just about finding passive talents in less obvious places, but also about asking the right questions that uncover the gold under the resume.

One of the daily little joys I get is finding a candidate who doesn’t look right when reading a resume, but their attitudes and abilities can quickly make up for a lack of perception in a particular technical field when they are face to face and chat in different situations.

Employers can do this, too. Asking the right questions, digging deeper, making candidates feel comfortable enough to shine during the interview and sticking their best feet forward can reveal talent that isn’t obvious in the resume.
