OK, OK, it seems easy (pun), but I can’t count the number of times I’ve seen travelers cruising me on a helmet-free calves!
A concussion can ruin travel, and your “How do you get that scar?” When you tell them that you don’t have a helmet, the story doesn’t sound epic. Unfortunately, common sense is not always a universal virtue.
Additionally, while your insurance company may cover emergency medical evacuation or repatriation, it may not cover stupid decisions such as not wearing a helmet. Do you really want to test it?
