How to book cheap hotels in 2025

Although I love the hotel, there are some good choices for the luxury of the hotel: clean rooms, comfortable beds, tables, iron, strong showers and bottled soap (Err…I mean borrowing). They are the quiet, relaxed breath of the world.

But luxury goods come at a price.

Hotels are not cheap, I hatred I only stay for a few hours when spending money in the room. Usually, even at my age, I would rather stay in a hotel (although private rooms!), at a lower cost, have more social interactions, and don’t make you feel like you stand out from the destination of your residence. I always feel that the hotel is in isolation, like a place where concrete foam prevents you from visiting.

That is, the older I am, the more points I use, and the more I go to work, the more I will stay in the hotel, especially on short excursions.

I spent years searching for websites trying to find the best way to get the best price for hotel rooms because my budget travelers hate spending a lot of money. The prices of hotels after construction have risen a lot, and it seems that there are fewer and fewer cheap goods these days.

However, there are many ways to really get a lot of deals and reach an agreement on the deal to reduce the cost of the room.

Let me tell you how.

How to book a cheap hotel

Here’s how to find the cheapest hotel in one easy step:

First, go to Google and enter where you want to go. For example, “New York City Hotel.”

That’s it. Google will get results from all major booking sites and tell you the cheapest sites. You just go there to book your hotel. That’s why it’s the best booking site, because you can go to Google, find which site is the cheapest and book here. It saves a lot of time!

Here is a step-by-step guide:

Next, put your dates and filters to narrow your search until you find the hotel you like. You will be able to sort by lowest price and view the map to book by location. You can even see typical pricing trends for dates by clicking “You want to pay”.

Click the hotel’s “View Price” button and you will provide you with all your booking options. Find the lowest price and head to the site. Remember that the highest result is usually ads, so scroll down to make sure you don’t miss any deals.

Once you find the lowest price, please book on this site!

But before you In fact When booking a room, there are some other tips you need to know to ensure you get the best price:

1. Contact the hotel directly

Find the hotel, call them, and ask them to match the quote (they usually do because they keep it in commission). If they are a large global brand, the biggest benefit of booking directly is that you can only earn loyalty and status when booking directly, so if you like to earn points and miles, don’t book rooms elsewhere!

2. Points of use

The best way to save money on a hotel room is to not have to pay for it. Collect hotel points with branded credit cards, or transfer them from chase, Capital One, etc. and book a free room. I save thousands of dollars every year. This is my favorite hotel card to get you started.

3. Use discount rates such as AAA or AARP

If you are part of AARP or AAA, you can get a cheaper special price. Fun fact: Anyone can join AARP. I am a member. They have amazing travel benefits (including deals on hotels and British Airways flights). Worth membership.

4. Use Mr. Rebates or Rakuten

If the lowest price is browsing through major booking sites like Booking.com, Expedia or Hotels.com or Mr. Rebates or Rakuten. By using their links you will get 1-10% return. It’s a little savings over time. I have never been to these sites to shop online (they all have deals).

5. Book a mystery

Priceline and Hotwire are both cheaper in hotel bookings, where you don’t get full booking details. Based on Hotwire’s Hotwire and Priceline’s Express deals, you’ll see star ratings for the general community and the properties and amenities offered, rather than the exact hotel itself. With Priceline’s price break, you can guarantee they’ll put them together one of three hotels (you just don’t know which one before booking). If you can tolerate some unknowns, you can save 30-60% off!

6. Sign up for booking.com’s loyalty program

Booking.com offers 10-20% discount on bookings for members. They certainly helped a lot. Before booking with them, before you sign up for their loyalty program!

7. Get a discount gift card

You can book major hotel chains with a hotel gift card. Check out websites like GiftCardgranny.com for discounted gift cards and use it to book your hotel. (Gift card purchases can also be counted into point revenue and status.)

8. Buy a reservation with someone else’s room

People often cannot travel or cancel reservations, so hotels put these rooms indoors and they sell them at discounted prices to make money. I’ve never used this site, but I’ve heard the good news about it.

***

Hotel prices are much more expensive than airlines and tend to be reduced. I don’t spend hours searching for hotel websites or days tracking prices, just like people use airline prices. I spend up to 30 minutes to book a hotel.

Just follow the steps above to use my favorites (and as the best) hotel booking website to get cheap hotels so you can get a lot of deals and enjoy your trip faster.

And, if you find yourself staying in a lot of hotels, it may be worth considering getting a hotel credit card so you can start earning points for free stays (free for free (always better than cheaper)!
