I’ve found the best place to trade in 2025

Finding the best travel deal is a matter of timing.
Many people think that travel is just expensive, but in reality, incredible transactions are happening all the time. They usually don’t last too long and you have to act quickly. When a deal needs to jump on a plane tomorrow, it can sometimes be a problem (how many people can do it?).
Fortunately, most transactions are in the coming months, giving you enough time to plan your schedule.
I often book flights Then Find out what I plan.
Since you can usually cancel the flight within 24 hours without incurring fees, I locked the deal and then figured out if I could make it work. Sometimes I can (e.g. a $1,200 business-grade flight from Los Angeles to Stockholm); sometimes I can’t (like the $400 New Zealand flight I had to cancel).
I’ve been looking for a deal.
Today, I want to tell you where I go for a travel deal, tips and expert advice. After all, these resources focus only on this aspect of travel, so why not use them? I don’t know everything, so I rely on experts. If traveling is a hospital, I will be your GP.
Here are the top companies I use and suggest:

Where to find the best flight deals
When looking for flight deals, I use these four sites for last minute transactions. There will always be new (and tempting) last-minute flights – usually a small part of what you want to pay for.
My cheap flight trading site is on go.com. Previously a cheap flight from Scott, it was a great resource to find flight deals from the United States. They offer free flight alerts and with a premium membership you can get more deals in their find more deals. (New users can get a 20% premium using NomadicMatt20 code.)
The other three excellent sites are:
- Flight Deals – This is an excellent resource for finding cheap flights from the United States. If you are in the United States, start your research here!
- Secret Flight – This cheap flight site found the “wrong fare” (when airlines make pricing errors) to and from destinations around the world.
- Holiday Pirates – This is a great cheap flight site wherever you are, so be sure to check out more deals here.
If you just want to book a flight, check out the search engine below. It is important to remember that no one The best online booking site. All search engine sites have blind spots, so it is important to search for a few different places before booking a flight.
Generally, the best booking sites are as follows:
- Skyscanner – I always start searching with Skyscanner. This is a very intuitive platform that can search booking sites and airlines around the world to ensure that no transactions are missed. If you are not 100% sure where (or when) you want to go, start your search using SkysCanner.
- Google Flights – A good all-around flight search site that can be included in your cheap flight arsenal.
Where to find the best points and miles news
When it comes to the latest airlines and frequent flyer news, I turn to these sites. They provide me with the latest information on changes in the industry and loyalty programs, as well as any perspectives and milestone news that may be important:
- View from the wings – This is where I go to the airline and frequent flyer news.
- Point Guy – an excellent resource for credit cards and points and Myers news and information.
- One Mile at a Time – This is a great credit card, on-board experience and frequent flyer news site.
For Australia and New Zealand, visit Points Hack.
For Canada, use Travel Prince.
For the UK, you need to earn points.
As a very, very, very avid traveler (when I have my own special tips and tricks), it’s hard to stay up to date on your own when you’re a lot abroad, so I use these three sites to keep me in the loop.

If I can’t find anything on CruiseSheet and don’t want to double-check the price, I’ll visit the second best website vacationstogo.com.
