Puerto Vallarta

If you’re looking for a new beachfront all-inclusive that’s friendly and feels like a truly luxurious resort, then there’s great news for the Marriott.
Starting May 1, 2026, Westin Resort and Spa in Valata, Puerto Rico, Mexico will reboot to become Westin Playa Vallarta, an all-inclusive, all-inclusive resort, which will say will be a “reimagined all-inclusive luxury.”

Set on 14 jungle-framed waterfront acres just steps from the airport, the property is currently closed while converting to a new format. But we have long appreciated the resort’s all-inclusive package and its 410-foot private Golden Beach.
It is also worth noting that all accommodations on the property have sea views. Not to mention, we found this Westin outpost to be the first choice for families in Puerto Vallarta, Puerto Rico, as it offers kid-friendly facilities we wish to retain, such as a large shallow family pool and a kids club with its own outdoor play area.
The Marriott Hotel is redesigning all 281 suites – some of which will feature a swimming pool or a private pool. Other highlights of the reboot property shared by the company include the Westin Heavenly Spa, the Flora Comibology Bar for plant-based feldspar and the Gourmet Gallery, which houses six dining options, four of which are Alfresco options (we found Mexico, Japan, Ocean, Seafood and Burger on the site on the hotel’s website).

How to book Westin Playa Vallarta
When it reopens on May 1, 2026, the cash rate for Westin Playa Vallarta will start at $423 per night.

Marriott Bonvoy members can book award nights for two people, starting at 188,000 points per night during most of the property’s open months.

Bottom line
We will have to wait until next May to see the newly launched Westin Puerto Vallarta when it debuted at the all-inclusive Westin Playa Vallarta. However, the open rates we can see so far seem reasonable, with the beachfront location with a once-for-all pricing structure that includes all food and beverages as well as child-friendly facilities.
