The world’s first all-inclusive W resort is now open in Punta Cana

Marriott Hotel is shining in the Dominican Republic: the world’s first all-inclusive W resort has now officially opened.
Although guests started welcoming earlier this year, W Punta Cana in Adult All Inclusive is reimagining what we know about an all inclusive resort. It brings the W brand romping luxury and lifestyle hospitality and its stylish clients to the beautiful beaches and the turquoise waters of Punta Cana, just 45 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ).
On the first W All Complusive Resort, fans of the brand can expect many of its signature elements: a living room, a stylish lobby bar, a fitness gym and a away spa, which offers signature treatments and massages. The property also features a wet deck, W’s iconic pool pole experience; here, it has an all-inclusive twist with drinks flowing constantly (you don’t have to worry about the price).
W Hotel is also known for its stylish, often over-designed aesthetic, but recent iterations (such as the Nashville iteration) have become softer, less complexion. In Punta Cana, 340 rooms and suites are fresh and modern with a tropical atmosphere. They have a private balcony, pool or dive pool, as well as large TV, floor-to-ceiling windows and neutral tones with subtle colors.

All-inclusive resorts have been adding to dining games in recent years, and expectations are high for W Punta Cana, which has 13 restaurants and bars. In addition to The Living Room and Wet Deck, guests can dine at an international buffet, a tap room with craft beer, an elevated Dominican and Caribbean restaurant, a Japanese street food joint, a moody speakingasy, a rooftop raw bar, a Mediterranean beach club with a bar and restaurant, a plaza-style outdoor restaurant and a vintage cabaret-style Italian cocktail bar, among others.
During the day, guests can kick back on the lounge chair and enjoy the Dominican sunshine on the beach. Alternatively, they can head to one of the pools, such as a cold pool with a swimming bar or an infinity pool on the wet deck. Entertainment is available throughout your stay, so you can expect DJ and dancing as well as wellness-focused activities such as sunrise yoga and fitness classes. The resort also touts the daily calendar, which includes music experiences, cultural workshops, adventure activities, and food and beverage experiences that are designed to “promote connectivity” throughout the resort.

Marriott Hotel is one of the leading brands leading the revolution in all-inclusive spaces. It is marking resorts with brands and collectibles familiar to travelers and loyalists. The Marriott Hotel’s luxury collection has opened resorts in the Dominican Republic and Mexico, with more attractions. Rumors are that other luxury Marriott brands are also planning to enter the all-inclusive space. Outside the Marriott Hotel, Hilton launched an all-inclusive resort of the same name, and IHG opened a Kimpton-branded all-inclusive resort in Mexico.
