The Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card dominates the travel credit card market. That’s thanks to its immediate benefits, the ability to earn valuable Capital One miles, and the $395 annual fee, which isn’t steep compared to its high-end peers.
If you’ve been eyeing this rewards card, now is a great time to apply. That’s because the card offers the highest welcome bonus since its launch in 2021. The only time the card offers a limited-time welcome bonus is within the first four months of its launch.

New Venture X applicants can earn 100,000 miles after spending $10,000 in purchases within the first six months of account opening.
The bonus is worth $1,850 based on TPG’s November 2025 valuation.
Capital One miles are most valuable when you utilize one of the card issuer’s 15+ transfer partners. However, cardholders also have the option of redeeming the card for a flat rate of 1 cent on recent travel purchases or booking through the Capital One travel portal. This bonus is worth a respectable $1,000 if you redeem it this way.
How does it compare to past offers?
Aside from the launch of Venture X in November 2021, this is the only time we’ve seen an enhanced offer in the card’s history. Venture X offers the same 100,000-mile offer from November 2021 to March 2022. Otherwise, it never strays from its standard 75,000-mile offer (which is currently unavailable).
This 100,000-mile offer is four years old, so now is a good time to apply.
Application rules and restrictions
Capital One recently implemented a 48-month family rule for its Venture card line, which includes the Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card and the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card.

This new Venture Card Series rule limits you from moving down the Venture Card Series (in terms of annual fees), which means if you already own a Venture So keep this in mind if you want to pick up one of these two lower level cards in the future.
Additionally, if you opened Venture X and received a bonus within the past 48 months, you will not be eligible for the current bonus.
Additional Capital One application restrictions require you to wait six months between approval for a new Capital One card (including personal and business cards).

Why you should apply to Venture X
Venture X offers several benefits to frequent travelers. Key benefits include:
- Anniversary bonus: The card pays out 10,000 bonus miles on your account anniversary, starting from your first anniversary. As of November 2025, TPG values those 10,000 miles at a whopping $185 when used with Capital One’s transfer partners.
- Annual travel points: Cardholders who book through Capital One Travel will receive $300 in points per year.
- Global Entry or TSA Pre-Check: Cardholders can earn up to $120 in TSA PreCheck or Global Entry bill credit.
- Lounge access: Through February 1, 2026, cardholders, authorized users and up to two guests per visit have free access to Capital One lounges and more than 1,800 Priority Pass lounges. After this date you will be charged for guest access to both types of lounges.
- Authorized users: Additional authorized users can be added for free. However, starting February 1, 2026, each authorized user will pay $125 per year to retain access to Capital One and Priority Pass lounges.
- Luxury hotel benefits: Capital One Premier Collection offers free breakfast, room upgrades and other benefits at participating hotels and resorts. Cardholders also have access to Capital One’s low-end lifestyle range.
- Stacked car rental discounts: Cardholders can stack car rental discounts with Hertz. *
*After enrolling through the Capital One website or mobile app, eligible cardholders will maintain that status level for the duration of the offer. Please note that enrollment through the normal Hertz Gold Plus Rewards enrollment process (such as at Hertz.com) does not automatically detect cardholder eligibility for the program, and cardholders will not be automatically upgraded to the applicable status level. In addition to these benefits, Venture X makes it easy to earn Capital One miles at competitive prices:
- Earn 10 miles for every $1 spent on hotel and rental car bookings with Capital One Travel
- Earn 5 miles for every $1 spent on flights and vacation rentals booked with Capital One Travel
- Earn 2 miles per $1 spent on all other purchases
If you take advantage of Venture That’s because TPG’s November 2025 valuation puts the bonus points at $185. If you add $300 in points, your total annual value comes to $485.

For the first time since launch, Venture X is offering a 100,000-mile upgrade offer, and if you’re eligible for the bonus, now is a great time to apply.
