Fly to Hawaii from 7,500 miles with Alaska Airlines’ new award promotion

Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines have launched another great deal on the heels of their global vacation sales. This time, it’s aimed directly at Atmos Rewards program (formerly Mileage Plan) members. One-way award redemptions start just 4,000 miles away from various U.S. West Coast destinations including Seattle and San Diego. Meanwhile, one-way flights to Hawaii start at just 7,500 miles—a pretty good price for visiting dream destinations like Honolulu and Maui.
This offer is available on special fares, which are the cheapest tickets available on that airline. Plus, this is a quick sale: You have until midnight on November 6 to book your trip.
Similar to American Airlines’ recent rewards offer for its AAdvantage members, this offer offers a variety of options for vacations in early 2026. You can book your trip in March; all routes are subject to availability.
Some cash fares may also be lower. Be sure to check the cash cost of the flight you want, as you’re better off booking in cash and saving your Atmos rewards to redeem again later. However, these incentives offer one of the best ways to maximize your Alaska miles for real savings.

Using the calendar view on the Alaska Airlines website, we could select the month we wanted to travel and see the lowest redemption rates. If you live in San Francisco, February might be a good time to take advantage of this deal and book a 7,500-mile flight to Honolulu.

You can also fly from SFO to LAS in early December for just 8,000 miles round trip, plus $12 in taxes.

Flights from San Diego to Maui are truly one of the best options in this deal. There are plenty of one-way flights from SAN to OGG from 7,500 miles in February; we also see good redemption options in January.

You can also fly from LAX to KOA on the Big Island of Hawaii (also known as the Big Island) in mid-December for just 15,000 miles round-trip and $11.20 in taxes. What better way to spend your vacation than relaxing on a beach or pool in Hawaii?

bottom line
Sometimes award sales can be frustrating because by the time you start searching for the flights you want, the best deals are gone. That was not the case with this sale. There are plenty of great options — not just flights to Hawaii, but also flights to cities like Denver, Las Vegas, Portland, San Diego and San Francisco for as low as 4,000 miles one-way.
Remember: You must book your trip by midnight on November 6th.
