Anker Nebula X1 Home Projector Review: Gorgeous Anywhere

Combined with the X1’s four speakers, you get 200 watts of lossless audio power through a single cable, and with Dolby Audio support (although there is no Dolby Atmos) and a 25ms incubation period on the screen, I can spot the synchronization issues I can spot. The speakers have a range of up to 100 feet, but you want them to be closer to the movie sound.

I missed the movie theater release of Bob Dylan’s biopic A totally unknownbut streaming in 4K Ultra HD via Disney+, I was drawn to Greenwich Village in the 1960s, with the concerts, dialogue and studio audio all excellent, the instruments, crowd noise and the FX were impressive. Even Tom Hardy’s terrible netflix caper destroy It sounds powerful and engaging.

Features, connectivity and cost

For streaming, the Nebula X1 uses the Google TV platform with built-in Netflix and Google Cast. If you want to connect to a Blu-ray player or gaming console, there are two HDMI ports (one with EARC). There are also USB-A and USB-C options as well as 3.5mm headphone sockets.

Back in my living room with a karaokee YouTube channel, the microphone in the speaker kit is really stuck, especially if you’re a 10-year-old girl and her mother. Apart from the twist of enthusiasm, the quality is rocky and the battery life is too long!

It’s worth remembering that while the retractable handle makes this projector “portable” really weigh 13.7 pounds (6.2 kg) and requires a power outlet. If you want a true battery-powered design, like the excellent XGIMI GO+ ($699), you need to sacrifice brightness and audio power. I’m not sold in backyard movies yet, but I live in cold, overpopular places in the world. If you have a space for a dedicated outdoor screen and can hit the volume without disturbing your neighbors, you can enjoy it. Just make sure your Wi-Fi signal is strong enough.

The X1 is also connected to the Nebula Connect smartphone app (iOS, Android). I couldn’t use it due to early beta testing, but I had connected to it and controlled four or five different projectors, and I undoubtedly did it work properly. It tends to be easier than a remote if there is one, although it’s a bit a bit more to find a manual control menu if you don’t know where to look.

The X1 costs $3,000 and is the most expensive portable projector right now. It’s priced at the same price as a quality home movie projector, but it usually lacks streaming capabilities or audio. Despite the high image quality, AI clever and streaming, I’m not sure it’s a worthy one for myself.

But, plus the speaker and microphone (the bundle costs $3,427), and the proposition is completely different. The impact of satellite speakers on your favorite movies, combined with excellent image quality and whispering operations make it easy, and although it is expensive, it can be recommended.
