Marriott Lake Como Edition is being booked

The latest property of the Marriott Hotel (formerly the Excelsior Hotel in Britannia) has been completely renovated and renamed as Como Edition. After making a list of the most exciting hotel openings for 2025, the luxury hotel was originally scheduled to open this spring. It is now scheduled to open in the fall and bookings are now starting September 9.
On top of that, you can save money on your Marriott hotel and get great value for your Marriott hotel by booking rewards on this gorgeous property.
Lake Como Edition is on the west shore of Lake Como, Italy, in the small community of Cadenabbia, about two hours outside the train or one hour drive. Lake Como is known as a hot spot for celebrity holidays, and there is good reason. In addition to water-based activities like swimming and excursions, the surrounding streets and villas offer plenty of opportunities for dining, shopping and learning history and art.
Set in a 19th-century palace, Lake Como Edition aims to combine Italian heritage with the brand’s contemporary design and social energy, and inject a dose of youthful style into the fascinating old-world charm of Lake Como.
Inspired by Italian villas, the 145 rooms at the hotel include one- and two-bedroom suites and quality rooms with lake and mountain views. Conveniences include a lively lobby bar, an Italian restaurant, poolside dining, floating pool, lake access and complimentary breakfast. According to the hotel’s website, guests can also participate in activities such as private yacht tours and “Immersive Wellness Ceremony”.
How to book

In September, the Como Edition costs €1,029 per night (about USD 1,210), or you can book a reward of as low as 115,000 per night. This value is about 1 cent per point, which is much higher than our July 2025 valuation of 0.7 cents.

At the end of the season, in late October, it was reduced to €699 (about $822) or 95,500 a night, with a stable value of 0.86 cents and 0.86 cents per point. The hotel will be closed in early November and reopen in mid-March.
Bottom line
After a brief delay, we were delighted to see Marriott’s latest additions open the door in this amazing destination. Reward rates are relatively low this fall, which offers great value to your Marriott Points.
Also, if you hold a Marriott Elite identity, you can take advantage of some elite privileges. Not all benefits (such as free breakfast) are respected on Edition Properties – but in this case, it doesn’t matter, as Como Edition offers free breakfast for all guests.
