Household supplies and laundry enjoy your life in a mixed media sculpture by Tobias Izsó

Shoe laces, zippers, chairs and other household items take unexpected personalities in Tobias Izsó’s quirky sculptures. The artist combines a variety of materials from a variety of woods and leather and textiles to study the emotional terrain of private spaces. Izsó depicts sweaters, shoelaces, shirt cuffs and a bunch of clothing merge with the surroundings or seemingly owning their own ideas.
Christine König Galerie, representing the artist, exhibits Izsó’s series Leave the cuff Last year in its project area Koenig2. These works explore the relationship between family, self and the emotional impact of things. Izsó’s work will be on display in October at Kunstverein Dresden, and you can find more on the artist’s Instagram.
