If you don’t know something during an interview and the interviewer asks for your opinion, what’s the best way to respond? Should you say “I’m not sure” or just give it a try?

From salary to purpose

Imagine you are being interviewed and being asked a question that you don’t know the answer. How should you respond? I am Jeff Altman,,,,, Large game hunter. People hire me worldwide for job search coaches and career advice without BS because I make the process of finding a job and being more successful. Here is how to do it. This is the way to answer such questions.

First, make sure you are not sure. Don’t try to hide your way. You might just start saying, “I didn’t deal with something like this directly.” But, “if I were, I would consider these factors.” So from there, you know, “If I were facing this kind of role, I would look at the best practices,” wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. You do goodwill through the thinking process to explain how to resolve the situation. And then from there, I’ll say, “If I were me, what would you do? Teach me.” In short, if you follow a simple model, that is, confirming that you don’t know, then talk through your process and explain, “I’d love to learn more. Teach me. How will you deal with this?” You’re going to be much more than trying to make a bluff through the answer.

I have a lot of information on Jobsearch.clumity – free videos and books available on the homepage. Plus, if you become an insider, there are more coaches out there.
