However, this card has several benefits to help you recover your annual fee:

  • $100 Annual Hotel Credit: Earn $500 or more single-trade hotel reservations (excluding taxes and fees) through the Citi Travel Portal and enjoy a $100 credit line per year.
  • World Elite Mastercard Welfare: As the world’s elite Mastercard, the Citi-class prime minister has given several travel-related privileges that consumers may not know about. This includes a $5 monthly Lyft credit, three rides in the calendar month, and access to the Mastercard luxury hotel and resort portfolio to offer free breakfast and room upgrades (such as available room upgrades). With the World Elite Mastercard program, you will also enjoy allowances such as cell phone protection and global emergency services.
  • Citi Entertainment: The program gives cardholders special access to tickets to thousands of events (from concerts and sporting events to unique dining experiences and movie screenings).
  • No foreign transaction fees: Like any quality travel card, the Citi-class Prime Minister allows you to travel freely without incurring international expenses.

this Citigroup Prime Minister It can also easily help you travel, providing the following travel protection:

  • Car rental coverage
  • Lost or damaged luggage
  • Travel Cancellation and Interruption
  • Trip delay

I always make sure to use $100 annual hotel credit as this is a sure way to offset the annual fee. But, beyond that, there are not many other benefits to take advantage of the huge savings.

Win points on Citigroup Prime Minister

this Citigroup Prime MinisterThe money-making structure of a card is where the card shines.

The card is available on hotels, car rentals and attractions booked on Citi Travel Portal, and costs 10 thank you points per dollar.

Cardholders also earn 3 points per dollar on purchases in the following categories, with no cap or annual limit:

  • Air travel

  • Gas station

These income rates are the most impressive of any travel reward card, especially given the affordable annual fee for the Citi tier. This is my go-to card for gas purchases because it’s unlimited 3 points per dollar, which reduces the stimulus of high gas prices in California.

I also often use this card to earn bonus points at supermarkets because unlike American Express® Gold, there is no spending cap on this category.

Citi Thanks for your points redeemed to get a stated credit, cash back or gift card. They can also transfer it to any of Citi’s partners (our advice).

Transfer points at the Citigroup premiere

this Citigroup Prime Minister Due to participation in the Thankyou Rewards program, there is currently a shopping, five hotels and 15 airline transfer partners, which is also the first choice for travelers.

While you will notice that many common flyer plans are international airline programs, you can still book high-value (easy to redeem) awards through them.

I found several transfer partners to be of great value, including the French Thousand Mile Flight Blue, which offers flights of only 60,000 miles and are able to be as short as 24 hours to a year. Last year, I moved the Citi Thanks Point to a Blue Flight, flying from Los Angeles to Dublin, and stayed in Paris for 60,000 points.

Another transfer partner I use is Singapore Airlines Krisflyer, which is a great way to book premium cabins with Singapore Airlines.
