Frieze Seoul Name 116 upcoming 2025 edition exhibitors

The 2025 version of Seoul will bring together 116 galleries from over 30 countries.

The fourth iteration of the expo will once again coincide with Kiaf Seoul, whose focus is on the Korean art world. The two fairs will be held at the Coex Convention Center from September 4-6 and will be held on preview day on September 3 (the fair will also contradict the Armory Show in New York, which Frieze acquired in 2023.)

Friz Seoul will be divided into three parts again: the main gallery section with 86 exhibitors; the focus of Asia, for 10 personal speeches by emerging artists; and the trim master, with 20 stalls, including work from the Middle Ages to the 20th century.

“The fair will soon become an important gathering spot for Korean and international audiences, and plans this year are expected to deepen these exchanges further, not just within the city, but within the city,” said Patrick Lee, director of Friz Seoul, in a statement.

The main segment of the blue chip participants include Gagosian, Hauser & Wirth, Pace Gallery, David Zwirner, White Cube, Gladstone, Thaddaeus Ropac, Lehmann Maupin, SprüthMagers and Esther Schipper. Leading Korean galleries include Gallery, Modern Gallery, Jason Haam, Johyun Gallery, Kukje Gallery, P21, PKM Gallery and Whistle, while major dealers from all over Asia include Antenna Space, Galerie Quynh, Galerie Quynh, Kiang Malingue, Stpi, Stpi, Ninagawa and Taka isshii Gallery.

Five galleries have graduated from the Focus Asia section to the main section: A-Lounge Contemporary, Barakat Contemporary, Cylinder, G Gallery and SAC Gallery. Similarly, the fair will have 20 first-time participants in the main section, including 10 Chancery Lane galleries, Breeders, Carvalho Park, de Sarthe, Make Make, Make Am and Ota Fine Arts.

Focus Asian exhibitors include Shanghai’s flaxseed, Tokyo’s parcels and Seoul Gallery Planet, while Frieze Masters will provide stalls for a lighthouse called Kanata, Bhak, Bhak, Gana Art, Les Enluminures, Spurs Gallery and Tokyo Gallery and Tokyo Gallery + Btap. This is an iteration of Frieze Masters, which holds the Independence Fair in London in October each year since Emanuela Tarizzo joined the fair last month.

“Frieze Seoul is the cornerstone of our presence in Asia, which defines our ambitions in the region and plays a crucial role in the wider Frieze calendar. Fairness, fairness reflects our long-term example, and our recent commensurate with our cultural community and the efforts of Chick Ancogo, is our effect, we are numerous efforts, and our media is numerous efforts across Asia, across the global art world.”
