How long does it take to obtain a statement credit from the issuer?

After spending with some businessmen, many credit cards offer monthly, quarterly or annual statement credit lines – but it is not always clear how long it takes for those credits to take.
While banks often say it can take two or three months, most points will arrive earlier.
We conducted a survey of TPG staff and readers to see how long it really takes. Here are the cards we found from American Express, Capital One, Chase and Citi.

Bottom line
Maximizing the privileges of cards is crucial. These benefits unlock the value of the card and can offset the annual fee you keep the card every year. However, banks often don’t know how long it takes to get your statement points.
If your waiting time is longer than the average on this page, please contact your credit card issuer for missing statement credit. The fastest and most effective way is to use the bank’s online chat or secure messaging capabilities.
