In “Oak of”, a magnificent tree in Key Garden gains an immersive “digital dual” – Huge

“We believe that the power of stories enables senses and transforms perceptions.” Experiential artists collectively merge art, extended reality (XR) and the Marshmallow Laser Feast in the Movie.
MLF’s latest work, oak, Location London Royal Botanical Gardens in Kew London Royal Botanical Gardens (Kew) titularly six metres high double-sided video. The work focuses on the garden’s Lucombe Oaks, which depicts “digital duality” using real-world data.
MLF collaborated with Kew researchers to create a vibrant scientific rendering that blends advanced technology with artistic images. The team stitched thousands of images together, mapped trees with laser pulses, CT-scanned soil samples, used ground-penetrating radar to track root systems, and recorded a series of 24-hour soundtracks.

Visitors can access a stunning digital wild guide from anywhere or through desktop, including a series of meditations that “adjust the invisible bond between humans and trees.” The app also includes an interactive species guide that highlights a wide range of birds, insects, fungi and other residents who rely on oaks to survive.
