Education and Jobs

Those who avoid career disasters are those who are alert to signals and can “read tea.” Here’s something to note:

For years, I have said that people who succeed are not always the smartest or the hardest. . . Although these are great qualities. Those who take the lead are those who keep their chances alert. Sometimes, these are inside your organization. Sometimes, these are external.

On the other hand, those who avoid professional disasters are those who are alert to signals and can “read tea.” Here’s something to note:

1. You suddenly report to someone who is different. If you are a senior professional, the report structure has changed, and now your report is reported once or twice from the place where the report is reported. If you are on the staff, you are suddenly reassigned and not even inspiring to talk about it is a great opportunity.

2. You have been as high as possible. Look up from your desk and see your age and a manager or director who is satisfied with his job. Hmm. When you ask yourself a question: “Where can I go from here?”, your answer indicates improving your skills, not working functions, because no value will leave.

3. Your company is for sale or is recently sold. These questions are very similar, but slightly different. In the first case, there are warnings that the business is sour or that management wants to deliver on it. In the second aspect, the transaction is completed.

In both cases, the results will be the same – you will help the new management integrate the operations of both companies, thus delivering knowledge, which will help keep the operations going smoothly. You will then be invited to accept a package to leave or push into a dead end. Sounds exciting (you find irony)!

4. Everything is under maintenance, or it is the only job you assigned. The people who tend to progress are those who provide management with new “bright shiny objects” – new projects that make everyone go sexy jobs “oh”. If you are asked to maintain something, then you are Dilbert career path. ”

5. Your new boss is a bastard. When you go to work, your charm will not take away your disgust because you don’t like people who work. If you think of this feeling as mutual, that gets even more complicated.

6. Your industry is on the verge of death. The part that makes people successful is business knowledge. There was a time when the “off-road vehicle industry” in the United States was very big. Now, you might be wondering what I’m talking about. In 2001, every telecom company in the world performed very well. Since then, some of them have been unable to be arrested.

If your industry is dying, start attending your professional funeral now.

It is crucial to give yourself time to work effectively before things reach a crisis ratio. If you stop and start thinking about any of these signals, it’s time to take action.
