Flying Blue Promotional Rewards (June): Discounted Rewards Flights to Europe

You have a lot of options when it comes to booking reward flights, but one of the most reliable ways to get good value is to be offered through the monthly Air France KLM Flight Blue Promotion Award.

The Blue Promotion Awards promotion for June includes a transatlantic route between Europe and the following North American destinations:
- Cancun, Mexico (each way in the economy is from 18,750 miles)
- Denver (each way in the economy is from 18,750 miles)
- Montreal (each way in the economy is from 18,750 miles)
- New York City (each way in the economy is from 18,750 miles)
- Las Vegas (each way in the economy is from 18,750 miles)
- Ottawa, Ontario (45,000 miles from the business)
- San Diego (various ways in the economy from 18,750 miles)
For example, you can snap up the one-way economic award from San Diego to Prague at a tax rate of 18,750 miles and $131.70 in taxes and fees.
Alternatively, you can book one-way business-grade bonus flights from Ottawa to Paris for 45,000 miles and $253.80 in taxes and fees.
Promotional Rewards are available only on flights operated by France and KLM. So while you can connect to other destinations within Europe as part of your promotional reward ticket (such as Prague above), you need to connect through Paris or Amsterdam. You can book most promotional reward tickets online, but you must call Flying Blue at 800-375-8723 to use Flying Blue’s free stopover option.

How to book a blue promotional reward flight
Book promotional reward tickets on France or KLM website. Log in to your account and click the Books tab on the home screen. After that, enter the desired itinerary before clicking Search Flights.
If you don’t see the promotional reward option on the desired travel date, check out the price that matches the promotional reward price.
Once you find the flight you want to book, select it and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the booking. If you plan to transfer credit card rewards to make a reservation, you should find the reward space first. Then, place your ticket on hold and transfer your points or miles.
Also, be sure to check your transferable bonus account to see if there are any transfer bonuses.

How to Earn Miles in Flying Blue
Improving your flying blue balance is easy as planning partners with all major transferable points and mileage plans.
You can transfer rewards from American Express membership rewards, Bilt Rewards, Capital 1 Miles, Chase Ultimate Rewards, Wells Fargo Rewards and Citi Thankyou Rewards at a 1:1 ratio. You can also transfer Marriott Bonvoy points at a 3:1 ratio, earning a reward of 5,000 miles per 60,000 points.

According to our tests, AMEX, BILT, Capital One, Chase, Wells Fargo and Citi Transfers should be released almost immediately. However, this was not the case with our test transfer from Marriott, which took three days to get to our Flying Blue account. So if you want to book now, credit card points and a few miles listed providers are your best choice.
