Blink and you’ll miss it at the pinnacle of this year’s Pure Street Photography Awards — Colossal

Coincidences are everywhere, and it takes a special eye to immortalize a fleeting moment of chaos. Since 2020, Pure Street Photography, an initiative dedicated to connecting international photographers, has recognized visual storytellers through an annual competition.

This year’s competition attracted an impressive 1,160 entries from 34 countries across five continents. Juried by British writer and curator David Campany and founder Dimpy Bhalotia, 147 winning and shortlisted works were ultimately selected.

From capturing unfortunate moments of humor before disaster to documenting endearing whimsy, the variety of award-winning images evokes a range of expressions. Together they reflect the unique emotions one might feel while walking down the street, embodying the true spirit of the medium.

Each winning work will be displayed in January 2026 in a major exhibition at the Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai. In the meantime, check out the online gallery and Pure Street Photography’s Instagram. More real-life snapshots can be found in our coverage of the initiative’s last competition.
