We regularly check all official Switch 2 retailers for restocking, so keep checking for more updates. Target will start selling Switch 2 online in the early morning of June 6, which is probably your next best opportunity. Our original story follows.
The Nintendo Switch 2 launch date is finally here. Last night, eager players lined up at the midnight press conference and those who were lucky enough to get the console were already happy Mario Karting World and other post titles.
Starting June 5, gamers can eventually buy the Switch 2 console for $449.99, while the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle will buy it for $499.99 if you can find stock. Although Costco had stock available earlier today, Target is the next retailer with confirmed inventory. Target previously announced that it would not be available for Switch 2 online until June 6, so all eyes are on target for the moment. We don’t know when Target’s Switch 2 stock will appear, but retailers say the console will be available online in “Early Morning.”

To avoid hoarding and resale, Nintendo and retailers limit orders per person. This means you need to set up an account to place your order successfully. We also recommend that you check out the tips for tracking restocking, while at the same time, try all the links below.

Place an order with Nintendo
You can’t simply go to my Nintendo store to buy the Switch 2. To order Switch 2, you need to log in with Active, Remunerated Nintendo Switch online account. After doing this, you can choose a Switch 2 standalone console or Mario Karting World Bundle and press the confirm button “Register your interests” to order switch 2.
Now it’s weird stuff. Switch only online members who have served for at least 12 months and Register for at least 50 hours of gameplay on its switch console can be purchased through Nintendo. In other words, if you want to buy the Switch 2 this way, it is better to be a real Switch gamer. If you are eligible and follow these steps, please watch the email for an invitation link.

How to Order Switch 2 at Walmart
Unlike Nintendo, buying the Switch 2 online at Walmart is very easy. Technically, Walmart shoppers have been able to book No. 2 consoles on the Walmart website since midnight on April 24. In fact, the console is consistently sold out. However, this week Walmart confirmed that it will soon be offering new Switch 2 stocks online, although we don’t know when exactly. What do we suggest? Go to Walmart Switch 2 list a few times a day and smash the refresh button.
Once you find the Switch 2 consoles in stock for Walmart (or anywhere), we will update this article immediately. Walmart also sells many Switch 2 release champions and accessories.

How to Buy Switch 2 on Target (June 6)
The Target store will open on the day of release, and according to the press release, Switch 2 hopes will be directed directly to the “specified queue location” near the entrance. The target workers reportedly provide booking tickets to a few lucky people, so we recommend arriving early and crossing these fingers. If you get a gold ticket, you will be rushed to the electronics department, where you can eventually purchase a Switch 2 or Switch 2 Bundle.
You have to wait longer to buy the Switch 2 online on Target, as the company says it will start selling it online “from the early morning” online on Friday, June 6. Currently, you can check the booking page on Target or sign up for alerts to notify Switch 2 Restocks.

How to Buy Switch 2 on GameStop
GameStop is the four retailers listed here, and it is doing things a little differently. If you are lucky enough to get a GameStop reservation, you can pick it up at midnight on June 5. The GameStop store also hosts a midnight launch (although limited supply) where gamers can head to GameStop’s location for “transfers and deals”, where the original switches and transfers to the new console.
You can also get updates when trying luck online or registering to get new stocks. You can also buy Switch 2 games and accessories on GameStop, including the most important MicroSD Express card.

How to Buy a Switch 2 Game Controller at Best Buy
Best Buy joins GameStop hosting the Switch 2 Midnight launch party, but the tents and lawn chairs are now packed. If you are not one of the selectors to get a console in these activities, you must rely on Best Buy website. So far, we haven’t seen any available inventory.
As a “high demand project,” Best Buy customers must follow specific steps to purchase Switch 2 online:

Can you buy Switch 2 on Amazon?
You will notice that there is a major retailer that has been significantly missing so far – Amazon. That’s because Amazon is not an official retailer for Nintendo, so any Switch 2 console you find may have a list of dealers with suspicious legality. However, Amazon shoppers can pre-order some Switch 2 titles before they launch.
How to Buy Switch 2 in Staples
As we pointed out in our Switch 2 reservation guide, the Select Staples store will be available on a first come first served basis starting June 5. Most staple locations open at 8 a.m., but we recommend that you show up soon. Staples will also sell an unnamed Switch 2 gaming bundle, which we know is no standard Mario Karting World bundle. Like other retailers, the Switch 2 console is currently listed as “stock” in the Staples online store.
How to Buy Switch 2 at Costco
Are you a Costco member? Then you may be able to get one of the big retailers on June 5th one of one of the few retailers that actually stock. Costco members can purchase the Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World Bundle online starting June 5th, although each member has a console (every 7 days). At the time of writing, both the console and Mario Kart bundles were sold out.
Why is it difficult to find stock on Switch 2?
In short, this is a demand problem that far exceeds supply, although tariffs certainly do not help.
Since pre-orders opened on April 24, the Switch 2 has sold out almost everywhere, such as before the PS5. In fact, so many gamers are trying to make reservations on April 24 that they immediately crashed the GameStop, Target and Walmart sites. This leaves many switch fans and wonders how to buy the Switch 2 online. Mashable reporter Alex Perry was lucky to be able to play Switch 2 in two pre-start events at Nintendo, and at the time of writing he had a hard time testing his Switch 2 comment unit at work.
