8 Best Weighted Blankets, Robes and Eyebrows (2025)

Other weighted products can be tried
There are many other weighted products to consider (even products that don’t even have weighted but will offer a similar experience!), which are not blankets. Here are some of the things we tested and liked.
Mini Weighted Pad
If you crave weight pressure but don’t want the entire blanket to hang on you, try a mini weighted pad. The compact form makes them feel good and makes it easier to do road trips or even enter the office. The experience is a bit like the lead apron you wear in the dentist’s office, but it’s great. These are some of what we like.
nodpod body, $88: This weighs 6.5 pounds and is made of super soft microleaf bone on one side and cotton on the other. If you are not sure, this is a great introduction to a weighted blanket.
$98 Baloo’s Lap Blanket is 8 pounds, even smaller than the mini blanket mentioned above, so it’s perfect for these situations when you might not want a large blanket.
Yogibo Bliss Aroma Women’s Weighted Blanket, priced at $59: It’s a 4-pound apron filled with rice, lavender and mint. It offers a little weight, but the best part is that you can heat the blanket (sans cover) in the microwave to activate the odor of its aromatherapy.
Baloo Mini Blanket, priced at $179: The Baloo’s throw measures 42 x 72 inches, but if you want something lighter, smaller, its mini blanket is 40 x 60 inches and weighs just 9 pounds. Very happy to fall asleep with it.
More weighted eye masks
Luna Hot/Cool Spotted Wool Weighted Eye Mask, Priced at $36: This is a solid mask for the price, and in addition to being able to access the refrigerator, you can also remove the insert and microwave for some nice thermal therapy. It’s about 10.5 ounces, slightly heavier than the other options.
Nodpod sleep mask, priced at $34: It has access to the refrigerator, not the microwave. Considering it’s much narrower, it won’t block all the light. That didn’t bother me, but some people prefer total darkness. You can hang it on your face or rotate it along one side through the notch at the back. I’ve tried the original version and the new silk version ($62) and I love how the latter feels to my skin. Some comments say it’s not that heavy and it’s indeed lighter than the original version when you hold them side by side. But I weighed them and they were all 9 ounces.
Children’s weighted blanket
For most kids, your standard weighted blanket is too heavy because the weighted blanket is only about 10% of your weight. However, some brands do make children’s blankets that are lighter (usually 5 pounds) to make the little ones who want the blankets to hold them safe. These are two of us that we like.
Luna Dream Weaver Weaver Weighted Blanket (5 lbs) for $70: The Luna is made from crisp cotton and has more choices and sizes than any weighted blanket we’ve seen, not to mention beautiful colors. For children, you need to choose a child-specific weight (5 lbs) and there is also a child-centric design. The whole thing can be machine washed, but there are separate lids that you can take off and wash. Available in 5 pounds.
Bearaby nappling weighted blanket, priced at $139: If you’re attracted to the knitting style, Bearaby offers this adorable diaper version for kids. It’s also a good size to hang out or sleep with a partner who doesn’t like weighted blankets. It is made of organic cotton, and the airflow is also good thanks to the open connection design and it is also machine-washable. There are 5 pounds and 7 pounds.
Weighted pillow
You may question how weighted pillows can help, but it’s not to get your head to go (although very comfortable). Quiet Mind Pillow ($179) Sit on your legs while working or meditating, or get close to your body when you need a minute to relax. However, you hold it, and it produces the same deep pressure therapy as a weighted blanket to help you calm down.
Pillows come in three sizes and weights. I tried the medium size 9 lb pillow which was very heavy for my taste. There will be too much more in such a small package. Depending on the weight you have on the product page, there is a size chart and if you are unsure, the company recommends a size reduction. If you want, you can swap it to another size. It has 6, 9 or 12 pounds. – Medea Giordiano
Compressed package
If you’ve ever seen a sleepy baby and felt jealous, Embrace the Sleep Pods ($100) It’s for you. It requires the idea of weighted blankets – using deep touch pressure therapy to comfort you – the actual weight and calories associated with it. Instead, the elastic material fits you comfortably as a soft hug. It is machine washable, and since it is not as bulky and heavy as a blanket, you can carry it with you when you travel. If you want to try a 30-day return policy before submitting.
We tested the previous sleep pod model that puts your feet inside, but Hug Sleep now makes your feet a previous surgical version of the main sleep pod. They also added a hooded version ($110) and a mini version ($70). We will test the updated sleep pod as soon as possible and will update this guide with our notes.
Honorary mention
Most weighted blankets we tested are worth recommending, and many of them are. However, these are not as prominent as the choices above.
Aricove Weighted Blanket, $175 to $330: This is a great cooling blanket to sleep alone. It’s nice and thin so you won’t feel trapped or too hot. There are 10, 12, 15, 17, 20, 22, 25, 27, 30 and 32 pounds
Avocado weighted blanket for $159: This blanket has a large hanging and is weighted by fabric filling. There are both recycled polyester and cotton cover options, and the cotton feels great. This is the best choice between the lightweight weight of Helix’s same weighted blanket and the silky feel of the Nuzzie Ice knit blanket. For something soft and weighted without being too heavy, this is a great choice. There are 12, 15 and 20 pounds
Casper Weighted Blanket, $179 to $189: Casper is another popular bedding brand, with blankets that are classic cool cotton instead of knitted or plush that can get hot. It is about the size of a blanket, it is dense and large, and even the lightest model can give you a comfortable feeling, while the heaviest feeling is like a human thunder emotion. Casper is also often sold. 15 or 20 pounds available
Gravity-weighted blanket, $149: The basics of gravity above are our first choice because it is a great blanket. The brand’s original blankets are also excellent, with more weight, size and nice colors, but you have to provide the case for this. Available in 15, 20 or 35 pounds
Layla Weighted Blanket, $199 to $239: Our testers love to work with partners under Layla’s massive oversized blanket. It is double-sided, with a piece of cotton and a side. Available in 15, 20 or 25 pounds
Luna Classic Weighted Blanket, $85: This is a previous choice for this guide, but availability fluctuates. However, you can find it now on Luna’s website. There are 10, 15 and 20 pounds
The weighted blanket for Saatva, priced at $345: This weighted blanket comes in a 12-pound throw size and a 20-pound large size. It’s one of the most expensive blankets we’ve tested, costing $300 just tossing size, but it has an impressive soft and comfortable flavor with a cotton velvet texture and glass beads to lower. The 12-pound ball feels heavier than the other 12-pound blankets I’ve tried, probably due to glass beads. Available in 12 or 20 pounds
$200 Sleep Number True Temp Weighted Blanket: This blanket has a cover and is designed to stay cool all night, which is very accurate in my experience. I found that the polyester material is only Slightly scratched so I don’t want to sleep directly underneath, but anyway, I usually put a weighted blanket on the sheets. Available in 12 or 20 pounds
Thera Weighted Blanket, $48 to $128: This blanket is probably the softest thing I have ever touched, like stroking a furry animal. However, after the first few weeks of using it, it ripped apart and let the glass beads take over my bed like sand. I think the kitten paw gets the best, so remember and take it carefully. 10, 12 or 15 pounds available
YNM Cooled PE-NYLON Mixed Weighted Blanket Priced at $69: Similar to the YNM bamboo blanket recommended above, this weighted blanket is cool, but uses artificial polyethylene nylon instead of bamboo. There are also fewer colors, but actually make it easy for you to browse your shopping. Can be used on 5, 7, 10, 12, 15, 17, 20, 25 or 30 pounds
Yogibo calming antibacterial weighted blanket for $159: The actual blanket is cool cotton, but what really attracts is Yogibo’s famous blend of cotton and spinning for its cover. The company said it was very soft and didn’t lie. It is stretchy, smooth and machine washable (the actual blanket is not). I find pet hair tightly against it, which is common with soft fabrics. There are 15 pounds
FAQ
What is the correct weight and size?
Most companies recommend that weight be about 10% of your weight. For example, if you are 150 pounds, that would be a 15 pound blanket. But your sensory preferences may vary. Some of our testers prefer heavier blankets and go beyond 10% advice, while I tend to prefer lighter blankets, which have rules below 10%. Children or older people should bring something lighter.
When it comes to size, the bigger the blanket, the smaller the feeling, because the weight is distributed over a larger area. So, it feels heavier than a 15-pound blanket. Some companies make the blanket bigger when increasing the weight to keep the weight distribution, so make sure to check the size as well as the weight when choosing a model.
Who shouldn’t use weighted blankets?
Infants, animals or anyone who cannot be physically removed. If you or your family have a dyskinesia, a compressed shirt may give you the same results – advocate talking to a doctor.
How hot is the weighted blanket?
Weighted blankets come in a variety of textures and designs, all of which can help them stay warm. The open-connected design is popular for the nice airflow they provide, and I especially like using Nuzzie as its bamboo material to keep it cold. If you are a popular sleeper, I recommend opening the braid, or at least avoiding the super plush option. Cooling cotton can also keep you cool enough without the need for a completely open weaving.
