Jessica Stoller’s porcelain sculpture

Jessica Stoller’s porcelain sculptures examine the artistic historical conception of the material and how to portray the female body. Her current performance at Ppow Gallery in New York City, titled “Spread”, offers new work by the artist. The show lasts until February 15 in the space.

“In the last six years, with countless techniques cleverly employed, Stoller’s complex works were handmade, thrown, engraved, molded, and eventually shot multiple times to create a surface of rich colour,” the gallery said. “The works viewed are dizzying with the imaginary, idealized and eccentric. For stoller, ‘weird’ and pulsate with energy.”
