Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra may have a strange mundane design flaw: The adhesive on the camera doesn’t always hold.
After at least one user on the X used it for three months a day, his S25 Ultra got off a camera ring. Despite the titanium frame and glass back of the device, the ring is not part of the actual camera hardware. They are purely cosmetics and are fixed to the adhesive.

This isn’t the durability of an alarmist on the S25 Ultra. The new camera is significantly thicker than the camera thickness on the S24, and most units are structurally reasonable. Youtuber Jerryrigeverything warned in one of his demolition videos a few months ago. He deliberately pried open and removed a ring, but clarified that they usually get well secured under normal circumstances.
Mixable light speed
Despite this, this incident stood out. High-end phones with high-quality materials can still fail in a weird way. A camera ring that is disengaged after mild wear is unusual, even in isolated cases.
Samsung may not see a significant impact from this. The Galaxy S25 Edge launched last month continues to draw people’s slim design and impressive performance. At the moment, the standalone camera ring is still a strange time. If that is not the case, we will have another post, for example, two months left.
