Allen Williams offers a haunting vision in new painting and sketch formats at his current show at Copro Gallery. “Hidden Light” runs on space on January 11 with lush scenes and sparse research in the artist’s mysterious style. Williams appeared on our website for the last time.
“His paintings and paintings respond directly to his surroundings, and he uses everyday experiences and objects as the starting point for many of his works, in which the fragility and instability of our seemingly certain reality is questioned,” the gallery said. “Allen attempts to develop forms that do not follow logical standards, but based solely on subjective associations and formal similarities; these are intended to prompt the audience to establish new individual associations in his work.”
