Luxury luxury on the land of all Cullesey

The Punta Cana region of the Dominican Republic is known for its numerous all-inclusive resorts, but this year, Marriott is changing the game with the shiny new Regis Cap Cana Resort. The 200-room resort now opens is the stunning power of architecture and a design lover’s dream, with multiple restaurants and bars, family-friendly pools, adult-only spaces, beautiful spas and classic St Regis rituals such as daily champagne soaks and property-specific bloody Marys.
TPG has the opportunity to be one of the earliest guests of the new property to experience the services it offers. Despite some natural new hotel ic (and Mother Nature’s misfortune), the property is still at a solid start. This is what it feels like to visit more than a month after the opening of the Grand Grand.

The first impression of Saint Regis hat CANA
Set in an enclosed section of Cap Cana, this new Regis feels luxurious from the beginning of my stay, starting with the dramatic geometric staircase standing in front of the indoor waterfall in the floor to ceiling interior. The dark woods, soft creams, and vibrant textures and patterns blend together to create a beautiful theme that is carried out throughout the property.
During my stay, guests were as eclectic as tone and texture. I met groups from New York, Chicago, Atlanta, the Dominican Republic and beyond. And, from the moment of arrival, the super friendly staff helped set the tone of the service you expected throughout the property.

For my stay, I swim in the luxury palm swim of the two queens. The modern room is beautiful, the bed is very comfortable, a nice small desk area, a large flat-screen TV with streaming features, a well-stocked minibar and a lovely small shopping cart with wine bottles and red wine. Almost all technical features of the room (lights, curtains, “Do Not Disturb” signs) are controlled by the convenient touchpad throughout the room, making it easy to open the blinds in the morning for a bright light, and the lighting that is automatically recessed on the floor is perfect for late-night access to the bathroom.
The balcony is a great place to have a lounge, and start your day with a quick dip in the pool every morning. Please note that swimming pools like this are usually public so other guests can swim in the pool.

The room features a nice bathroom with double sinks, plenty of lighting, a spacious egg soaking tub, huge rain shower and a separate wash closet that covers the toilet. I like the big towels and fretter bathrooms, but a small problem with linen is that the bathroom is so The fluffy toilet door couldn’t slide on it and opened, so I had to flip it over.
This room is very comfortable, large and easy to share with my mom. On top of that, all rooms included the famous St. Regis Butler Service, our kind butler volunteered to unpack the luggage (and repack them when they were home), but I chose to exit the service.

Dining in Regis Hat Cana

St. Regis Cap Cana has 9 bars and restaurants and I had the opportunity to visit some of them during my three night stay. In Nina, the highest restaurant in the resort, a Peruvian-style menu is served by renowned chef Diego Muñoz, I like the Wagyu beef Katsu Sandwich topped with potato chips ($38) and skillet scallops and sweet cream corn. The service is even better than the delicious food.

At lunch, I couldn’t get enough time at the poolside restaurant Marola’s garlic prawns ($23) and ended up getting them for two consecutive days. On the other hand, the same restaurant’s chicken and sausage paella ($25) just didn’t make it for me.
Breakfast is on tapioca every morning, where there is a buffet ($50 per person) with classics such as fruits, cereals, pastries, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages, as well as à la carte items such as eggs and eggs. The server seemed surprised when we asked for mimosa, but it still came true. Cassava is also open for dinner, with the Latin and Dominican menus emphasizing meat and seafood.

Of course, don’t forget to stop at St. Regis Bar and buy overhead bar snacks for lobster rolls ($26), Wagyu sliders ($24), oysters and scallops ($21 for all). St. Regis fans will know that every property will provide a local view of the bloody Mary, while Cap Cana version Quisqueya Mary infuses local rum into fries.

In the pool, servers come and go and take drink orders very frequently, and I like some spicy margaritas (some are better than other chili peppers, over $23 per drink, I hope to be more consistent). Although the property is only one month old (or young!), the server is friendly and willing to help with whatever needs.

- Overall, all the staff I met on the property were very friendly and always smiled, even though they were quick and quick in their recent openings.
- The hotel has a large, family-friendly swimming pool. A dedicated splash pad area (at some point there is a small buffet and ice cream truck); there is also an adult-only pool with lounge chairs and cabins with great shades and fridge. There is also a rooftop pool (but we prefer to stay in an adult-only pool).
- The state-of-the-art gyms span two levels, including ample technical equipment and the entire spin classroom.
- The spa offers all the classics and guests can even request its spa on a rooftop treatment space overlooking the ocean.
- The children’s club can accommodate children’s clubs 12 years and under.
- Jack Nicklaus’s golf course is next door to Punta Espada Golf Club.
- Butler Services can meet any needs.
- The concierge desk can help arrange activities from tours to nearby adventure parks to deep-sea fishing.
- The on-site store offers everything from high-end clothing to sunscreens and souvenirs.
- Nighttime champagne soaking is a tradition in St. Regis, and guests can grill cups.
Beaches in Saint Regis Hat Ghana

I have long loved the beaches in the Punta Cana area during my winter visit and have always found them amazing. Sometimes Mother Nature has other plans, and the warmer summer months can mean the beach is flooded with salgasum (a type of algae) and seaweed. Unfortunately, the area was hit hard during my stay in early June and the beach was smashed by it despite the Ocean Net and a cleanup staff working all day.
Fortunately, the multiple pool areas are enough to make us happy and unwelcome while enjoying the sun. Once the Sargassum is gone (remember, it cannot reach the hotel when it arrives), the beach has beautiful chairs and cabins. It is also worth noting that many places in the Caribbean and Mexico have experienced this, so be sure to research any destination at the best and worst times.
Regis Cap Ghana’s Location and Logistics
Regis Punta Cana is about 3 miles from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ). For ease, the hotel can arrange transportation to and from the airport for about $30 per person. The ride costs around $15 to $20 depending on the time of day and needs.
Many airlines fly to Punta Cana, including Delta Airlines, American Airlines, United Airlines and JetBlue, as well as some international airlines such as British Airways and Air Canada.
How much does it cost to stay in Regis Ghana
According to the flexible booking calendar, the price of the St. Regis Cana in summer (low season in the region) is $587 per night. With the rise of the season, it is estimated that $700 to $1,000 will be paid per night.
Marriott Hotel members can book award nights at 100,000 a night, but most prices are just over 104,000. (It’s a frustrating strategy that prevents people from using 85,000 points free night certificates that can get 15,000 points for up to 15,000 points on a large number of dates, totaling 100,000 points.)
When booking Regis Cap Cana, you will need to use a credit card that earns Marriott dormitory points, or a credit card with automatic Marriott Marriott Bonvoy Elite status for added value benefits. These include:
- Marriott Bonvoy Brillirlin® American Express® Card: Earn 6 points per dollar for hotels participating in the Marriott Bonvoy Program, automatic Bonvoy® Platinumplatinum Elite Sutation, annually eligible purchases, 25 Elite Night Points per year.
- Marriott Bonvoy Bevy® American Express® Card: Earn 6 points per year on eligible purchases for hotels participating in the Marriott Bonvoy program, automatic gold elite status and 15 elite night points per year.

Accessibility of St.Regis Cap Cana
Accessible rooms are available on Regis Cap Cana (look for the Two Queens Superior Rooms under “Accessible Rooms” on the hotel website’s room page). This room type touts mobile access and accessible bathtub.
As always, TPG recommends contacting the hotel directly to confirm the type of room available and the extent to which the property can meet your specific needs (especially for properties outside the United States, accessibility laws may vary).
That said, the resort is often felt level and easy to use in many elevators. However, I didn’t notice the pool lift.
Bottom line
The Rigi Hat Ga Garden Resort adds a luxurious (expensive) residence that otherwise the area can offer a less upscale all-inclusive experience (I like it too!).
For sun-seeking travelers with deep pockets (we talk about margaritas for $23 per purchase), this gorgeous resort is a big escape. Despite some very small growth pains, such as sometimes slow (but always friendly) service, I really enjoyed my stay. I’ll definitely visit again and can’t wait to see how the property runs after it comes with the benefits of time and practice.
