“Murderbot” ending: David Dastmalchian breaks down Gurathin and Murderbot’s heartbreaking farewell

For David Dastmalchian(Chuck’s Lifelate night with the devil), filming Apple TV+’s science fiction series Murderbot It is an “incredible emotional experience”.

Dastmalchian plays Dr. Gurathin, an enhanced person and a member of the Presaux investigation team. This control showed its own performance, especially in the first few episodes of Season 1, which made Gurathin stimulate on Murderbot and tried to figure out its “deviation”. By the end of the season, however, Gurathin, like his fellow Presaux, had grown to love Murderbot, so much so that when he discovered that the company had erased Murderbot’s memory, he discovered a way to download their own and then transfer them to Murderbot.

From there, Dr. Mensah (Noma Dumezweni, the head of Presaux, bought the Murderbot contract in hopes of bringing it back to the Utopian Conservation Alliance and having free will. But Murderbot decided to make his own decision and spin it into space.

Gurathin is Gurathin, who tells MurderBot that he is ready to show it to save and to some extent understand what the transition might need, as Gurathin told Murderbot that he is ready to show it because the people who are now associated with the company are now granted free agents.

But Murderbot interrupted and watered his eyes. It said: “I need to check the perimeter.”

Here is a sentence, which stands out from Murderbot’s role as Secunit, but it hides a deeper meaning: Murderbot needs to strike on its own.

Gurathin understands, responding to the words: “You need to check the perimeter.”

It is a quiet and painful scene, and the culmination of Gurathin and Murderbot’s journey from opponents to all living beings that finally know each other. According to Dastmalchian, he and Murderbot Actors and crew, including Skarsgård.

“I grew up as a family that made the show, including my cast, creators and all the crew, and we were very close,” Dasmarchi said. “It’s weird in a sense, it makes you feel both a beautiful golden thread that connects the universe and sometimes makes you feel crazy at times, and when you like, ‘Wow, these words are more important than I thought.’”

He continued: “When we get to that moment [Gurathin] It’s saying… “I just figured out a certain level of understanding of you, and now I have to let you go,’ It’s hard. It’s part of the human experience that many of us end through death or things. The relationship ends. Sometimes people have to walk away on their own, sometimes they walk away for themselves, and this acceptance shocks me in the moment, and I’ve played a fictional character in a TV series based on the book series. I’m sitting there doing the scene with Alex, who’s an amazing actor, and even when depicting a structure, he’s so excited.”

Just like the scene, whether it’s the audience or the actor performing it, it’s not the end of the road for Murderbot and Gurathin. On July 10, Apple TV+ announced Murderbot Has renewed its second season. Although Gurathin did not appear in the second part of Martha Wells “Murder Robot Diary”he did go back further, which means there may be a reunion between Murderbot, Gurathin and all Presaux in the future.
