Poh Sin Studio Jewelry Candy Sculpture Aquatic Life – Huge

exist Specimen GardenPamela Poh Sin tan transforms the ambiguous ecology of her massive public works into independent sculptures. Tan, who works under Poh Sin Studio, often blends the principles of art and design, and for this series of coral-style forms, she embellishes sand-painted laser-cut steel with small Mexican cheese stone beads.
“Inspired by the ethereal elegance of natural systems – end, root, jellyfish, diatoms, these works reflect my obsession with the delicate, intelligent structures of the natural world,” she said.
Drawing on the decorative tradition of China’s Malaysian heritage, the artist blends contemporary technology with timeless themes of fragility, power and beauty. “Each piece feels like a living fragment of a surreal coral garden – an implantable reef like a pose, texture like a reef, detailed like a jewelry,” she said. “Together they form a quiet ecosystem of imaginary species suspended between nature and technique.”
