Marriott Hotels differs from most major hotel loyalty programs because its top elite status has two requirements that members must meet each calendar year. To obtain an ambassador elite status, members must often stay at the Marriott Hotel and spend a lot of money with the Marriott Hotel each calendar year.
Here’s what you need to know about earning the Marriott Ambassador Elite identities, including the privileges available to these top elite members.
How to earn the Marriott Ambassador Elite Identity
Ambassador Elite is an elite member of Marriott and has the highest qualification requirements. To earn an ambassador elite status, members must earn at least 100 elite night points and $23,000 in eligibility spend.
What purchases the number of elite identity for Marriott Ambassadors?
To earn Marriott Ambassador Elite status, you must spend at least $23,000 in eligible fees for a lasting period completed within a calendar year. Qualified fees include the qualifying rates for your accommodation and the qualifying food and beverage costs for your work. Most importantly, as long as you pay and all rooms are associated with your Marriott Hotel, you can charge a fee from the room and up to two additional rooms, up to the same check-in date and check-out date.
However, the eligibility allegations paid in advance in the coming years do not include, and there will be no purchase of Marriott gift cards or commercial expenses within the Way.

Which elite night credits are counted as Marriott ambassador elite?
Elite Night Points you earn from accommodation, events, promotions and credit cards, all in line with the Ambassador Elite identity. This is how you earn elite night points at the Marriott Hotel in Banwo Property:
- No elite night points: Studiors
- One elite night score per three ranking night: Marriott Executive Apartment
- Elite night points for each two ranking nights: Protea Hotels, City Express and 4-minute elasticity
- Elite night points for each ranking night: Other Marriott brands
You can also earn rewarded Elite Night Points with selected promotions, such as the Double Elite Nights promotion in early 2025. The plan is running in early 2025. When you hold a qualified event at the Marriott Bonvoy property, you can earn an elite night credit every 20 room nights.

But perhaps the easiest way to earn Elite Night Points is to use a Marriott Bonvoy credit card. After all, many Marriott hotels Bonvoy credit cards offer you elite night credits, each calendar year just to be a card guy. You can only get these CardMember Elite Night Areds from each calendar year, with up to one individual and one business card.
If you own a Marriott Hotel Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card (see Rates and Fees) and a Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card, just like me, just own these cards to earn 30 Elite Night Points per calendar year. However, if you own a Marriott Hotel Bonvoy Brillight® American Express® card and Marriott Business Amex, you will earn 40 Elite Night Points per calendar year.
Plus, for every $5,000 purchase, you’ll earn an Elite Night Point and earn it using Marriott’s unlimited credit card.

Benefits of Marriott Ambassador Elite Identity
Interestingly, the ambassador elite status and the elite status given to Marriott Titanium elite members do not provide many incremental allowances. Here are the incremental benefits that ambassador elite members can expect:
- Ambassador Service: Get travel help from dedicated personal ambassadors and any time ambassador team.
- Hertz Gold Plus Reward Elite Identity: Enjoy the free Hertz presidential status.
- Your 24: Request a specific check-in time to stay in the participating property soon, and if the property approves your request, please check out when you arrive. You must pass the ambassador service request at least two days before your stay. If your approved check-in time is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., you can request a late checkout (benefits provided by members of Platinum Elite and above).
- $150 for Reitz-Carlton Reserve: Enjoy a $150 resort credit per accommodation per room that you can use for other fees and room taxes in addition to fees and room taxes you charge for the room portfolio. However, if you book a promotional price or rate plan that already includes Resort Credit, you won’t get this resort.
- Business benefits of two hotels: When you designate Marriott Bonvoy as your primary loyalty program, get additional external benefits when you stay at every Delonix accommodation at the Hangzhou Jiande or Hungzhou Boao, a Hangzhou River Resort or a New Century Hotel.
Marriott Ambassador Elite Members can enjoy ambassador services and 24 in the calendar year of obtaining status and subsequent calendar year. However, the value you get from these two benefits will vary greatly depending on the quality of your dedicated ambassador and the type of property you leave behind.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that the Bonvoy Marriott Hotel occasionally offers an unpublished benefit to the ambassador elite members who meet the higher threshold for eligibility spending within a calendar year. For example, in 2024, Marriott allowed Ambassador Elite members to receive at least $40,000 in eligible spending during the calendar year, nominating partners, spouses, significant others or people living in the family residence of members to enjoy the 2025 ambassador Elite status.

Is the Marriott Ambassador Elite Is Worth it?
Even your trip will get you 100 Elite Night Points and $23,000 in Qualified Spends and Bonvoy Marriott Bonguse Spends per Calendar Year, but the next question is whether the Ambassador Elite status is worth it.
Most of the Marriott Ambassador Elite members I spoke to have gained status through frequent work trips. In one case, the ambassador elite members initially earned their place and did not even try frequent work trips in areas with rich Marriott hotels on their routes. In another case, a doctor who works for two weeks a month leaves his home and finds a residential hotel the most comfortable option near his hospital because it offers an indoor kitchen.
These two travelers emphasize how they get excellent service in properties that they often return to. But while the first member found his dedicated personal ambassador very helpful and rarely rejected his 24 requests, the second member I spoke with did not use his ambassador or your 24 at all.
But the real question is: How much value does the ambassador elite identity provide to the titanium elite identity? As you saw in the previous section, there are not many incremental benefits. That’s why, even though my husband and I usually travel together, we gained our own Marriott Elite status instead of crediting all our accommodations to an account and striving to win an Ambassador Elite status. By doing so, each of us earns Platinum Elite status at least every year and moves towards our Marriott Lifetime Elite status stage. Plus, since we don’t need a $23,000 eligible expense per year, we can redeemed Marriott for many of our accommodations.

Bottom line
Ambassador Elite Status is often not worth the effort to achieve other senior elite identities, such as Platinum Elite or Titanium Elite. But, suppose you are close to meeting Elite Night Points and Qualifications spending, or have reached one of these thresholds, and are already close to another threshold. In this case, it may be worth it to pay more on some accommodation or to do extra trips to snap up the ambassador elite identity.
In terms of allowances, Ambassador Elite members do not have many additional benefits to the Titanium Elite members offered by Marriott Bovo. But I like your 24 benefits, which means that if you check in at 11am, you can check out your 24 perk at 11am, which is the only downside of your 24 PERK is that the attributes can reject your 24 requests – meaning that this benefit may not be obtained when you need it most.
