Experience Seoul with 3 hotels

In 2015, I went to Seoul, South Korea for the first time and I was overwhelmed by the huge scale of the city. I am attracted to every community and I can’t decide where to explore, where to eat and where to live. At that time, reality helped the last question. I am poor and the backpackers’ budget is poor, so the hotel where I can afford the bed is the hotel where I stay.

Ten years later, I returned to the capital of South Korea. But this time, I have a plan. Now, as an experienced travel journalist specializing in hotels, I decided to work hard around Seoul from a different perspective: Urban and Artsy of Uber-Cool Ryse, the signature series; sophisticated and stylish in the towering four-season hotel in Seoul; and magnificent Hyatt Hotel on the top of the mountain metropolis, timeless and touristy.

Urban and Artsy: Ryse, signature collection

If you want to stay in part of Seoul, it’s full of vibrant, rich artistic, located in some of the best shopping in the city (think: Korean streetwear, vintage shops, local fashion and artwork), it’s just a part of Ryse, Marriott’s signature collection, and a part of reservations with Marriott Bonvoy Points. The hotel is modern, from a minimalist entrance with a blue bottle coffee shop to a lobby worthy of the designer department store.

Inspired by a nearby art university, the entire hotel is filled with things to admire – the room is no exception. Names inspired by different characters in art, television or filmmaking (such as “creator room” and “editor suite”), guests should expect a laid-back cool feeling with sleek Bluetooth speakers, various photos, various photos and prints adorn the walls, mixing tints like mixed tones (such as compared to colored colors) and making me feel pleasing and feeling like a friend.

To give the guests and the local community a feeling, head to the 15th floor to visit the side ticket club, I tried a bar, I tried a cocktail party made with cold beer, bourbon, cognac and… cottage cheese – I like it!

Outside the hotel, you will find the Korean Beauty Clinic, a post of a popular Olive Young Cosmetics store where you can pick up all the popular K-Beauty products, as well as Hongdae Shopping Street where you can (and) spend a full day of shopping easily.

How to book

Ryse, Autograph Collection has a nightly signature collection of about $216 or $35,000.

Exquisite accommodation near the palace: Four Seasons Hotel Seoul

Tanner Saunders/The Points Guy

My stay at Four Seasons Hotel Seoul is memorable and is an ideal combination of luxury and comfort, as well as the signature service of four seasons, delicious food and a world-class Korean sauna.

While the hotel is perfect for both business and tourists, I would say that anyone who wants to break into major attractions like Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukchon Hanok Village will appreciate the proximity of this hotel (especially because the car traffic in Seoul can be flooded during peak hours).

But honestly, you can spend the entire weekend at this hotel without wanting to leave. First, eating alone will shame other hotels. There is a moody underground serving top-notch cocktails. The Michelin-star Guangdong restaurant Yu Yuan, the brunch tasting menu made me happy that I just had to take the elevator to my bed and take a nap; there was also a bar and restaurant that offers elevated Korean bar food, including mouthwatering Korean fried chicken and a kimchi cocktail I couldn’t get. These are just a few examples.

The room is elegant and comfortable, with floor-to-ceiling windows and windows paved with the city, and it is difficult to get out of the dilemma of soaking bathtubs and plush beds. But when I wasn’t in the room I was in the Korean style sauna where I was soaking in the pool at all temperatures and just relaxed. For its value, the Korean sauna has an official art that includes bathing and access to public spaces, which is a cultural experience I am happy to embrace, as the daily rituals provide me with the energy I need to hit Seoul, prepare to see the attractions, and prepare the attractions and eat some of the best food in the world.

Eternal Tours near the Tower: Hyatt Regency Seoul

Tanner Saunders/The Points Guy

Residing on the steep hills of Myongdong and Itaewon and Neeal, the Grand Hyatt of tower is as iconic as theirs. From the moment you drive to the tree-shaded entrance (seeing the trees light up when night falls), you feel like you landing in a special place. From the huge windows in the hall, you first have to appreciate how the hotel in the mountains is roosting to the view of Seoul.

I especially like my room (entry king), its calm and sophisticated oak furniture and the N Seoul Tower in the distance. The hotel is big, like many Grand Hyatt properties, it offers a lot of activity space, so don’t be shocked if you’re busy and busy. But, despite this, I found my room breathing from the hustle and bustle of Seoul and the buzzing public places of the hotel. Other great amenities include the Clublike gym (easy to do with any vernal equinox I have visited), winter ice rink, outdoor pool and Korean sauna.

Dining in Hyatt Seoul is also an adventure, starting with a breakfast buffet in the morning and continuing throughout the day, and in a beautiful lobby bar and lounge with afternoon tea and evening drink service, sushi counter, steak table, a Japanese skewer grill and a Paris bar, I sat there, I sat and listen to jazz jazz here.

However, one thing about the Grand Hyatt Regency Seoul is that if you are keen on public transport, the location of the mountain can make your body a little challenging. That said, taxis in Seoul are very affordable and you can help outside the lobby in seconds with the help of friendly staff.

How to book

The cash rate for the Grand Hyatt Regency Seoul is about $230 per night. As a category in the 5th category of Hyatt Hotels World, the property offers award nights at 17,000 per night.
