Jeff Altman, the big game hunter discussion is a common resume error in people working in the United States with an H-1B visa. This mistake made people angry and help them in their work.

Don’t just follow LinkedIn’s company. Tell them that you are interested in working for them

This is Jeff Altman, the big hunter. I’m called a “big game hunter” because I’ve been looking for leaders and employees for organizations for over 40 years. You know, the video is for people with H-1B visas and encourages you.

Include your visa status in your resume. Let me speak out to you. When I get a resume of someone who looks like he’s been in the US for a few years, I already know you’re on a visa.

However, I have to confirm. Why? Because, it’s simple, my client told me that we will or will not transfer visas. Now, talking to you, how many of you have heard that someone is being hired by an employer who doesn’t want to do a visa transfer, and at the beginning of the search they say there is no visa transfer, and then turn around and say, this person is so extraordinary, will we transfer their visa? Well, this didn’t happen.

This is probably the case of a miracle. A miracle case is because, frankly, I have never heard of it in my 40 years of search. So just put it on your resume.

Now, I know if your visa doesn’t have a lot of time, then you have some urgency. I see. But, at the same time, understand that your influence is that you have wasted a lot of people’s time meaninglessly.

Now, I might put up an ad saying I know, basically indicating that my clients want someone who has a legal right to work in the United States and are reluctant to transfer visas. Why would you send it a resume? Others do this version. Ultimately, it’s easy for everyone, because not doing so is just a huge time.
