Amir H. Fallah holds major solo exhibitions at Moca Tucson

Amir H.’s exhibition includes exploring identity and immigration experiences, his vibrant masked themed portraits, examination of botanical paintings of classical Dutch works, and a new series of autobiographical works. Fallah ends up on our website.

“The masked theme portraits exploit ambiguity, skillfully weaving facts and novels while questioning how to create portraits without representing the body of a nanny,” the museum said. “Although the stories surrounding his theme are in-depth and told through their most intimate possessions, his work addresses generational experiences of immigration, trauma and celebration. Farah struggled to incorporate historical references to Western art into the paintings of Islamic art based on a pattern-based visual language.
The exhibition will last until May 3. Find more information on Fallah’s website and on the museum’s page.
