Epic Pass introduces 50% off “Epic Friend Tickets”

Skiing with friends is always better, and the epic pass hopes to be easier by introducing new discounted companion tickets.
According to Vail Resorts, which has an EPIC pass, “Epic Friends Tickets” can be folded 50% for peers’ reported airfare prices in the 2025-26 season. All 37 of Vail’s North American resorts will accept new friends tickets.
“If you ski or ride, there’s a good chance that someone will bring you into the sport and we want to make it easier for you to pay for it,” Vail Resorts CEO Rob Katz said in a statement shared with TPG.
According to the company, Epic Pass holders who purchase passes by April 14 will receive 10 tickets to their friends, while skiers who purchase passes after that will receive 6. These will replace the former “friend tickets,” Weil said, which usually offer less savings and vary depending on the resort.
Pass holders can redeem their friend tickets through the Epic Pass website. To activate tickets, they can use my Epic app or access the Holiday Resort Tickets window in person.
Additionally, your friends will be able to apply the full cost of their redeemed Epic Friend tickets to the price of the 2026-27 Epic Pass.

“By making it easier for our pass holders to share the ski experience with friends – by saving one, but two winter savings, we hope to help inspire traditions that will inspire friends to return to the hills for years to come,” Katz said.
The epic pass offers unlimited access to more than 40 mountains and more are restricted across the globe. Currently for sale for $1,075, but the Wealth Resort said the price will rise after September 1.
Vail also offers other options like the Epic Local Pass ($799), which includes unlimited access to 29 mountain resorts and the Epic Day Pass ($58 to $838), a pass designed to plan for one to seven days of skiing. (While the epic pass and epic place pass qualify for epic friend tickets, the epic dates do not qualify.)
Wel owns and owns 42 different mountains in North America, Europe and Australia, including Whistler Blackcomb in Canada, Park City Hill in Utah, Breckenridge in Colorado, Stowe in Vermont and Crans Montana in Switzerland. The company also works with dozens of other resorts in the United States, Canada, Japan, Switzerland, Austria, France and Italy.
In Australia, Vail offers similar “Bring a Mate” tickets, including one-day lift tickets for Perisher, Falls Creek and Hotham for up to 50% off.
