Donald Trump and Sean Hannity spark a wave of false information after Iran bombing

“No one is celebrating the war,” right-wing commentator Dave Rubin wrote on X on Sunday morning. “People are celebrating the end of the war.” Pro-Trump commentator Ben Shapiro praised Trump’s actions on his YouTube channel as historic: “President Trump will never start World War II… He is absolutely brilliant… President Trump has not been dragged into the war, and he manages the war with absolutely amazing professionalism.”
However, just a few hours later, Trump’s proposal to replace current leadership in posts about the Truth Society increased the possibility of long-term military participation in Iran.
“It is not politically correct to use ‘regime change’ in politics, but if the current Iranian regime cannot make Iran great again, why not a regime change happens? Trump’s suggestion comes after his own vice president, defense secretary and secretary of state declared that the bombing attack had nothing to do with the regime change.
A magazine queue warned that any attempt to replace the Iranian government would lead to a lasting war that would involve U.S. troops on the ground in the Middle East.
Conservative political activist Charlie Kirk has repeatedly expressed opposition to the war with Iran, and he appears to turn around on Sunday evening in response to Trump’s “regime change” position.
Kirk wrote on X: “The bottom-up revolution rose from the will of the people.” Top-down regime change was designed by the elite and the Intel community. One is organic, the other is carefully planned, forced…President Trump is talking about an organic uprising. ”
Kirk was ridiculed by other right-wing influencers for turning around. “Oh, now it’s the top-down leadership of the United States that has changed you [sic] be opposed to. We received new and improved regime changes sponsored by Intel Community and Defense Contractors! ”
Although some of the loudest opponents were doing military activities in Iran (such as Tucker Carlson), there has been no comment on Trump’s advice on regime change, but many criticized the events of the weekend.
“The U.S. military was killed and torn physically and mentally due to the profits of the regime change, foreign wars and military industrial base,” said after the bombing. “I’m tired of it.”
Meanwhile, Alex Jones, a school shooting conspiracy conspirator and pizza conspiracy promoter, filed for bankruptcy in 2022, said Trump’s comments on regime change would put U.S. troops in conflict.
“Now, Trump has joined the regime change, which is called “sleepwalking we go to war, not everything we vote for,” Jones said on Sunday night’s Infowars show.
On Monday morning, Trump himself said the consequences of the U.S. bombing could last for some time, apparently in response to speculation that Iran would close one of the world’s busiest oil transport channels, the Hormuz Strait.
“Everyone, keep oil prices down. I’m watching! You play a role in the hands of the enemy. Don’t do that!” Trump added: “To the Department of Energy: Drill, baby, drill!!! I mean!!!”
