Everything is hunting

Jeff Altman, Big Game Hunter
I started recruiting in 1972 (you know, days before the internet) when looking for a job involved answering newspaper ads, working with agencies, “Old Boys Clubs,” network groups and general networks.
Before being interviewed, people go to the library to look for information about the companies they interviewed.
They mailed me the resume (even the fax machine was not available at that time), and we sent it via Messenger (all of our customers were local).
This is an era of file cabinets and index cards that keep track of things, not databases, and I do a great job to help people find jobs.
Today, people responded to ads on work committees, social network websites and Adwords, and have forgotten the existence of newspaper ads, working with agents that recruit companies nationally and internationally, not only locally (and we offer full-time, tendency and contracts to hire opportunities), use “Old Boys Club” and “Old Boys Club” and “Women’s Club” (I don’t have online society and “Women’s Club”, or “Old Women”, or “Old Women”, or “Old Women”, or “Old Women”, or “Old People”, or “Old People”, or “Old People”, or “Old People”, or “Old People”, or “Old People”, or “Old People”, or “Old People”, or “Old People”, or “Old People”, or “Old People”, or “Old People”, or “Old People”, or “Old People”, or Internet, conduct universal networks, write articles, e-books and blogs, and interviews with publications for finding.
oh! Now, we use Google for the front view research.
What works best?
Everything works!
Given that you can promote your own alternative, there is no reason for you to idle your time in the search day.
Tired of reading ads?
Go to the local toastmasters meeting and typical interim speech.
Any idea of missing a change of field? Use Google or LinkedIn to find someone in the field, contact them, and take them to lunch or coffee for an information interview.
Do you have a trading group that is holding a meeting?
go! Talk to the speakers and see if you can connect with them.
Don’t make excuses. Go out there and do “things”. All of this can give you the next chance. . . Or the one after that.
