Barcelona Gluten Free Food Tour – Fitnessista

Share our review of our experiences on a gluten-free food tour in Barcelona.
Hi, friends! Are you OK? I hope you have a great week. Even though we certainly missed the Spanish adventure, we loved getting home. After spending 5 weeks in Europe, I’m sure I’m used to this life 😉
What we learned on the trip: We all love Barcelona. It was our first time, and as the pilot couldn’t get into part of the trip – he was there for the last four days – we told him we just had to go back.
A major highlight: a gluten-free food journey led by DVIR BAR.
We are known to be the main foodies and love to check out new food and restaurants locally and when we travel. As part of my recovery journey, I was already strictly gluten-free and in January we learned that P had severe gluten sensitivity. P is still learning when I was around the gluten-free cubes for a while. . Sometimes disconnected when there is no gluten-free option.
To make her Barcelona day bright, I did some research for gluten-free options and found Barcelona is a paradise for gluten-free food options, and they took a popular gluten-free culinary tour. I signed us immediately.
When the day came, P and I were very satisfied with it. Liv is a great sport and it’s nice to try some new foods.
Our guide DVIR is absolutely great. He speaks English (our 11 are Americans) and has been celiac for 40 years. He knew the best places to visit in Barcelona and took us to six different places to get a gluten-free option. We had chocolate, jarmon, gluten-free cones, pizza, pastries, ice cream on empanadas and it was amazing.
I like the setting for this trip. We kept walking and when we got to each location they had multiple samples for us to try. At the pizza restaurant, we have five full pizza flavors on the table. It gives us the opportunity to try a lot of different things and we end up being very fulfilled and happy.
While I don’t want to spoil the surprise of this trip, here are the top three I visited:
– Gluten-free empanada for gluten.
Chicken and onions are everything…. I will dream of empanada until we come back.
Look at this face. Pure joy.
– Cøliaki Bakery.
We tried a variety of gluten-free pastries, including the peanut butter croissants that keep my soul free. Usually, GF pastries are disappointing, and these are lightweight, delicious and very sweet.
– Messi Pizza.
Pizza is another thing that often disappoints me in the gluten-free world. Usually super crunchy, chewy and/or bland. It’s real pizza and we have to try some incredible flavors. I also drank my first beer over the years! I think he said they have 40 different types of gluten-free beers?
If you don’t have abdominal or gluten for health reasons, or you just like food and want to try new places, then I don’t recommend this trip. Point out that it is booked in advance, so once you know you are going to Barcelona, book your location immediately. The link is here!
Just one person, it’s not sponsorship or anything like that, and I’m glad to pay the price for our participation. Just happy to spread the word!
So, tell me, my friend: What is your favorite food destination?
Gluten-free friends: What are your favorite local gluten-free foods or restaurants?
xoxo
