Can you hide LinkedIn profile from recruiters? Now, I think it clear: you really can’t hide your profile specifically from recruiters. You can make it private to some extent. There is a privacy mode option on LinkedIn, where you can click on the profile picture on your home page and click on the Privacy tab titled “How Others See Your LinkedIn Activity”. This allows you to see how people view you when they view their profile.
There is a private mode that you can appear in the form of anonymous LinkedIn membership. Another option says “from someone” and mentions the school you’ve been to, or you can have a fully public profile. Remember, this is limiting what people can see while searching, thus finding you. It’s different from a completely private situation, but it does allow you to surf without invasion.
Remember, LinkedIn makes a living as a LinkedIn recruiter by selling the entire database to recruiters. LinkedIn Recruitment is the entire LinkedIn database. They are selling the ability to pay, search and search the entire LinkedIn database to fill positions. No stopping. It’s really simple.
