Google has launched a new tool called the preferred resource, which gives you more control over what appears in search results. This feature allows you to choose your favorite socket, so when you look for topics, their posts will most likely appear in the Top Stories section of Google. For frequent travelers, points and miles collectors, and anyone who relies on expert financial and loyalty program advice, this means you can now set up your TPG as one of your preferred resources.

By doing so, TPG’s coverage of the latest credit card offers, airline changes, updates to hotel loyalty programs and travel tips is more likely to be highlighted when you use Google searches. This is an easy way to reduce noise and see the insights you care most when you need it.

How to set TPG as your preferred source

To access this feature, click this link and click the box to the right of “Point Guy”. Currently, this feature is only available to Google users in the United States and India.

From now on, TPG’s expert coverage will surface on your feed when you search for terms such as “Best Travel Credit Card,” “New Airlines Loyalty Program,” and “How to Choose a Hotel Loyalty Program.”

Why this preferred source is important for points and mileage enthusiasts

Google’s preferred source settings help filter out less reliable content and bring channels you already trust. For TPG readers, this means:

  • Access news faster: Exciting new airlines, new loyalty programs and travel innovation updates are presented in real time on TPG.
  • Expert points and mileage analysis: Rather than general advice, dig deep into rewards, reward chart desserts and redemption strategies.
  • Guide You Can Take Action: From premium credit card reviews to step-by-step booking walkthroughs, TPG provides information designed to save money, help you travel better and get the best value from your perspective and miles.

By adding TPG to your list, you will most likely access our burst travel news, loyalty updates and credit card offers faster – helping you stay ahead of the pack every time you plan, book and redeeate rewards.
