Jeff Altman, Hunter, explains how to discuss your performance metrics on your resume to maximize performance.
How far can you go?
In today’s job market, passing is not enough. After all, there are a lot of qualified people looking for jobs. Ability is just one thing they want. They seek confidence, character, chemistry, maybe a little charming, you care, you can connect with them because they want to trust you.
But, it’s about the interview. How do you step on the door to the trial? Often, it’s about your brand, how you position yourself as a competition to make yourself memorable. I use the term “large hunter”. This has helped me a lot, and I’m not suggesting you to use a term, but there are things you can do to make yourself memorable in the market so that people can know, trust and respect you before they have the opportunity to meet you.
My first coaching client was referred to me from someone I didn’t know who they were, but they found that I could help their friends because they saw my content online and had to trust me. So they recommended this person to me, the people I advised, and I helped them to serve as staff positions as C-Suite leaders in major U.S. companies.
You have a version of a story that will make you memorable. Think about it. Don’t just dismiss this. Actually, think about your memory and how you distinguish it from others.
