The best Kindle accessories (2025): Kindle boxes, belts, charm

You might get a box with a cover, but if you are like us at Wired, you like reading book covers and may prefer a box without covers. But this puts the monitor at risk, especially if you often throw it into a bag with other items that may scratch or damage it. The best solution? Screen protector.
From Supershieldz it was great. Former wired reviewer Brenda Stolyar said it was so thin and matte that she forgot that it was even there, and it had good touch sensitivity and therefore wouldn’t slow down your pages to rotate. It comes with tools you need to install and maintain, including microfiber cloth, wet wipes and stickers. Stolyar said it was easy to install, but did leave some bubbles that she couldn’t leave. She didn’t find bubbles distracting while reading, but it might be a pain point for others. There are three screen protectors in the package, so if you encounter the same problem, you can try another protector again.
