Nicolas Denolle’s beautiful series. Born in France, Denolle is currently in San Francisco, California, and studied graphic design at Écal (University of Art and Design) in Switzerland. DeNolle is Apple’s multidisciplinary artist and artistic director, exploring the intersection of design, photography and visual storytelling with an eye on simplicity, detail and form. The California Dream is an ongoing project that considers the eternal beauty of nature, blends observation and imagination, creating a poetic and timely language:
“My latest series is a visual paper, all over California, from mineral shorelines to high deserts and conifer forests. In the process, I photographed rocks, trees and native flora, assembling them into an imaginary geography. Shot on films in medium format, these works simply don’t exist for the world, or never really travelers, maybe travelers, maybe travelers, not among travelers.
