I’m working with someone today and helping them prepare for an interview. Now everyone knows to go to LinkedIn. Everyone knows Google. Well, but I came up with another way, and that’s what I want to share with you. I’m Jeff Altman, a big hunter. People don’t hire me BS job search advice and career coaches around the world because I’ll be more easily looking for a job and being successful.
So, instead of doing the usual Google or LinkedIn search, I typed: “As a researcher to investigate [name of the person] Who is the chairman of AA Real Estate,” I mentioned them by my name. Let me take it out of the top: [name of the person] exist [name of the company]. Let me dive into their background and the background of the company. ” So I put the company’s name there. Chatgpt proposes a good search.
Now, I simply say, one of the things they do is through different departments, they use different resources outside of Simply LinkedIn and Company’s websites, although I have to say all the frankly, a lot of the data is on the website. The benefit is that even if all results come from the website, their website or LinkedIn, It merges in one place, processes, and then gives me a choice from there. I just want to read the choices they gave me at the end of my first search. First, each summary, and then say, “Let me know if you want to dig into a specific deal, team structure, or how you compare to your peers.” Again, from the perspective of how you are doing your homework. It merges in one place, allowing you to find information about the people you are interviewing, the company they work for, and more. By the way, when I delved into their background and structure, they quoted org.com, which is a website with an organizational structure.
