Is the Bilt Palladium Card a top quality card for everyday spending?

We’ve known for months that Bilt Rewards was launching three new credit cards with features including earning points on any mortgage. Now we may have more details on what these cards will look like.
If the rumored changes we dug up yesterday are true, Bilt is gearing up to launch three new products: the Bilt Blue Card ($0 annual fee), the Bilt Obsidian Card ($95 annual fee), and the Bilt Palladium Card ($495). The products will apparently offer a range of rewards options, including the ability to earn Bilt Points and Bilt Cash on non-home purchases, as well as a welcome bonus – a first for the company.
Information for Bilt Blue, Bilt Obsidian and Bilt Palladium has been independently collected by The Points Guy. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.
However, of the three rumored products, the Bilt Palladium Card has caught the attention of many here at TPG. With a significantly lower price than some high-fee competitors and a generous revenue structure for everyday expenses, will this card become the new standard holder for rewards in the premium card market?
Let’s take a closer look at how this rumored card stacks up against industry stalwarts.
Earn points and cash back
The new Bilt Palladium card appears to reward cardholders for their everyday spending (excluding rent and mortgage payments) in two ways:
- 2 points per $1 spent
- 4% Bit Cash
Assuming these rates remain unchanged, they have the potential to be of significant value. Our valuation of Bilt Rewards points is the highest of any transferable currency at TPG, with our January 2026 valuation being 2.2 cents per point. Combined with the additional 4% Bilt Cash, that means you’ll earn 8.4% back on nearly every purchase you make with this card.
Most other cards have more limited spending categories in which you can earn rewards at this level.

For example, American Express Platinum Card® Earn 5 points per $1 spent on flights booked directly with the airline or through American Express Travel® (up to $500,000 in combined purchases per calendar year), but only 1 point per $1 spent on all other purchases.
at the same time, Chase Sapphire Reserve® (See Rates & Fees) Earn 8 points per $1 on all purchases with Chase Travel℠, 4 points per $1 on nonstop flights and hotel bookings, 3 points per $1 on global dining, and 1 point per $1 spent elsewhere.
While some of these earn more than the Bilt Palladium card, they earn less than the Bilt Palladium card in everyday spending categories like utilities, online shopping, insurance, groceries and anywhere else the card can be swiped.
Housing Essentials

You can then also use the card to earn points on your rent and mortgage payments.
According to the leaked information, the Bilt Palladium Card will reward you with 1 point per $1 spent on these housing payments, although this does not appear to be free. Instead, one of the anecdotal benefits listed is: “Wait rent and mortgage closing fees with Bilt Cash.”
If that’s true, it’s reasonable to assume the fee is 3%, since that’s what you’d currently pay using a third-party card to pay for your rent.
However, the ability to use Bilt Cash to pay for some (or all) of your expenses is interesting.
For example, let’s say your monthly mortgage payment is $2,000. If you pay with a Bilt Palladium card, there’s a 3% monthly fee of $60.
That said, it appears new cardholders will receive $300 in Bilt cash as part of their welcome bonus (plus 50,000 Bilt points after spending $4,000 in purchases in the first three months). The welcome offer alone gets you five months of service if you choose to pay the 3% fee in Bilt Cash.
And since you also earn 4% Bilt Cash on all non-home purchases, that balance will grow when you use the card to pay for other expenses.
For example, if you made the Bilt Palladium card your new go-to for everyday spending and charged an additional $2,000 per month on top of rent or mortgage payments, this would translate into monthly rewards like this:
- 4,000 Bilt bonus points
- $80 Bitcoin Cash
Even without the one-time Bilt Cash (which is apparently part of the welcome offer), that Bilt Cash is enough to cover your mortgage payments.
It looks like Bildt is considering automating this process based on the second apparent leak. If this rumored change holds true, you’ll have the option to split your housing payment between a Bilt card and a regular ACH, with the portion on the card automatically determined by Bilt Cash for which you’ll have to pay transaction fees.

Other benefits

It looks like the Bilt Palladium card will also have some additional benefits when it launches:
- $400 Bilt Travel hotel credit ($200 every six months)
- $200 per year in Bitcoin Cash
- Priority Pass Membership
- No foreign transaction fees
Other credit cards have seen their bill credit limits double in recent months, so it’s not surprising to see these additions, but they seem pretty straightforward in comparison. Hotel points may not be limited to a select group of hotels, and the $200 Bilt Cash can be used towards room expenses or at various merchants within the Bilt ecosystem.
If you can use both hotel points and $200 in annual Bilt Cash, that alone will cover the card’s $495 annual fee.
The most valuable reward
Finally, it’s important to consider the value of the rewards you earn with the card—whether it’s for housing or everyday purchases.
As mentioned before, we value Bilt points above all other currencies in our monthly valuations, thanks in large part to a large number of top transfer partners. These include Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards, World of Hyatt, Japan Airlines Miles Bank and Air Canada Aeroplan. Plus, you’ll continue to earn a steady, fixed point value (1.25 cents per point upon redemption) with Bilt Travel.
But more importantly, it looks like the Birt Palladium will include Gold status as part of the welcome offer (we assume this will be the first year). Considering the rental day promotions the company offers every month, this can have a huge impact on your Bilt Rewards points.
In 2025, we see Gold members enjoying 75% transfer bonuses on Avios, 200% transfer bonuses on Accor Live Limitless, 75% Southwest Rapid Rewards transfer bonuses and 200% Hilton Honors transfer bonuses.
Note that Gold members also have access to Bilt’s Home Away from Home collection of luxury hotels and resorts, which offers benefits such as space-available room upgrades, daily breakfast for two, and a $100 dining credit.
It will be interesting to see what we get from future Rent Day offers in 2026, but it’s almost certain that Bilt Gold status will continue to unlock more value along these lines.
bottom line
Rumors abound about the new Bilt Rewards credit card, and if they turn out to be true, the Bilt Palladium Card could be the best premium card for your everyday purchases — not even considering the ability to earn points on rent and mortgage payments.
With a dual-currency earnings structure and the opportunity to earn rewards on what we consider to be the best value programs, I’m certainly interested in this new card, and I think a lot of TPG readers will be, too.
Stay tuned as we’ll have a full analysis of the new Bilt card suite once it’s confirmed and available to new applicants.
