I’m Jeff Altman, the big game hunter, head coach of JobsearchCoachinghq.com, a website with well-curated information that you can watch, listen or read. It will help you find a job faster. I was asked a question that I found out since then that was used by Amazon as part of their interview. I think this is a great question. . . The full version of this question is, how do you find time to stay inspired, gain new knowledge and innovate in your work? Great question. And, you almost have to break it down into different components.
This does start with the interview theater. So I want to encourage you to first, flicker your eyes and smile on your face and then be happy when you answer the question because it is so unusual that the company really cares about one person. So when you answer questions, start first, and itās much easier to stay inspired when I love work.
I really like it. I just think there are limitations where I can go with the organization. So if I allow it to continue, it will eventually disappoint me.
So part of the reason I’m looking for a job is that I want to keep feeling that way. I think there is still juice about my work. I just thought about doing the same thing over and over again over again as time goes by, which will limit me.
And I also know that I have to do things for myself. So, how should I spend my time? OK, I’ll take the time. Part of what I spent a little time was my class.
I can learn a lot from the internet. I talk to people. Iām gathering with people from all kinds of different places not only to tell jokes and be fun, but to find someone who is really exciting to connect with me.
See where I’m going? It’s not just memorizing a bunch of facts. Well, I’m going to get my master’s degree. I found my master’s degree very interesting.
No, if you are going, I’m not going to be disrespectful. But it’s about the energy you carry. Your face feels happy when you answer questions about keeping you going, what makes your boat float, what makes competitive juices go on.
And innovate your work. Part of it is spending time and spending time and space for ideas to reflect. That’s how it works.
It may be different for you. But I’m trying to give you several ways to understand this. Now, again, the big thing is what you say, but your performance, your passion when you talk, because you want to prove that it is exciting for you, they are actually caring about how you stay inspired.
I want to know clearly. Inspiration is internal quality. Motivation is what they need to do to get you done.
As an engaged employee, you want to be inspired. You want to have something that really connects with makes sense to you, and you bring the truly floating work into the work. So, I’m Jeff Altman, the big hunter.
