A series of sleeping characters and dream-based landscapes of uncertainty (previously appeared here) by Barcelona-based artist Guim Tió. “Humor” captures the fragile state between sleep and awakening – the blend of reality and imagination, and the familiar state becomes abstract. Just as memory becomes increasingly inaccurate, Tió’s paintings bring us into a scattered space of brief impressions, faint feelings and lingering thoughts. A place of endless possibilities and frustrating but inevitable intangibleness.
