I stayed with Alexa+ for a week. This is its development (2025)

Alexa+ manages to answer quickly, even after listening to a more complex question and giving more complex answers. She usually manages to answer all my questions as well – not much is “well, I’m not quite sure how to answer”, I’ve heard too much from the original Alexa. She once gave me this answer, even seemingly simple questions – for example, suggesting on cloudy days in the zoo, or where can we book dinner tables, or if Kesha has tickets. Alexa+ can tell me the calendar details accurately, and it has better control over my smart home than the Google speakers that have controlled my home in the past year. I also love that I can access my past conversations through the Alexa app. They are categorized by the initial questions I asked, allowing you to easily browse the conversation and see what Alexa’s answer is.

If you also set up their profile, Alexa+ will also use a camera to identify you and other members of the house. When I approach them and recommend you remember the homepage I like to do, my echo performance will show “Good morning, Nina,” such as for for for for hou, such as aerial arts and going to the zoo. Alexa+ also did a great job when I mentioned her name in the conversation, and although my initial thought was due to my looking at the camera, my further tests found that she ignored her name even though I looked at her.

Alexa+ is not perfect yet, and she is not complete. I came across some tics, for example, when asked about the recent donut shop, she offered stores for the city I live in, even though I am currently in another city. However, by giving her more background, these issues are easily solved. Her most interesting answer was when I asked for the zoo weather and tried to see if she knew to quote the San Diego Zoo and she gave me the weather in Japan Zaō. But the next time I asked about the weather in San Diego and then what to wear in the zoo, she correctly deduced which zoo I was talking about.

New dig

While I can do all the original questions with Alexa+, there are a lot of new things to try.
