As shopping editors, we are often asked: What should I buy on Prime Day? In fact, the entire internet is actually starting to sell in such a big shopping event, as Amazon’s biggest competitor and individual brands also host the biggest sales of the year.
This is the timeline for competing summer sales this year, often referred to as “anti-party sales.”
Walmart summer deals
Just like last year, Walmart hosted a Walmart trading event, which is longer than the 4-day Prime Day event. Walmart deal summer sales will be held from July 8 to 13 and will begin on July 7. To make the most of sales, sign up for Walmart+ (yes, there is a free trial).

Target recently announced that it will hold a circular sale from Sunday, July 6 to Saturday, July 12.
Home Depot
Home Depot has extended its excellent July 4 sales to July 9 this year. Check out our guide to the highest savings for the event so far.
Best Buy
This week, Best Buy starts on Black Friday, July 7-13. Best Buy usually matches Amazon prices for most Apple products, but we’ll notice that if Best Buy is priced better on any famous product.
