Best Prime Day Laptop Deals: $849 MacBook Air, $790 Surface Laptop 7

The battle of the best Prime Day laptop deals seems like the M4 MacBook Air game. With only annual membership sales this week, Amazon has priced Apple’s latest 13-inch for just $849 (out of all color schemes). This is $150 for the M4 MacBook Air retails for $999, a huge discount on a popular laptop that was only published in March.

I think it will be difficult for Amazon to trade in a single transaction once it officially begins, but I’m happy to say that it proves me wrong. On the first day of sale (now lasting until July 11), I found a range of Windows laptops that were inexpensive there. These include our beloved Microsoft Surface laptop 7 and Four Different gaming laptops with the brand new NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 50 series graphics card, this is my main beluga. I really didn’t expect Amazon to do any sale at such a huge discount, let alone.

Thanks to Mashable’s resident laptop masters (and those who have been covering Prime Day since 2019), I want to share some quick reminders to help you make informed shopping decisions when buying as big as your new computer. One is to avoid third-party sellers on Amazon, who may have their own customer service policies or get involved in rough sales practices. Another is cross-checking prices with other retailers to verify Amazon’s deals (occasionally listing incorrect MSRPs) and make sure you get the best deals. For its value, Best Buy is the biggest competitor in laptop trading. Currently, the Black Friday is playing side by side on Prime Day from July 13 to July 13.

The new 13-inch MacBook Air is our best budget pick for Apple users and is also a winner of the Mashable Choice Award. Senior Editor Stan Schroeder wrote: “It’s powerful, silent, and comes with some much-needed upgrades, including an upgraded 12MP webcam and support for two external monitors. His overall rating is 4.5/5.

Amazon’s $849 deal is available for all colors in the base configuration, with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage. The Sky Blue variant briefly dropped to $829 in late June, but I didn’t have much trouble recognizing it, a deal for a popular new laptop that was already affordable.

The biggest configuration of Microsoft’s 13.8-inch flagship laptop is our favorite Windows laptop, combining a sleek, sophisticated design with Peppy performance and all-day battery life. (Literally: it lasted nearly 23 hours in our tests.) This foldable variant features a Snapdragon X Plus processor, 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage – our preferred specification for most everyday users.

Prime members can snap up Dune Colorway for $789.99, with a 34% discount on its $1,199.99 MSRP, and a new all-time low of $10. (For comparison, Amazon’s deals are discounted in the competitive discounts and $210 discounts for Best Buy and Microsoft Store, respectively) and are priced just $30 more than the newer 13-inch Surface Laptop 7 released this spring, which is slightly worse than the new 13-inch Surface Laptop 7, which released this spring with an 8-core CPU and half of storage space.
