Sales Events Here in the summer, Amazon Prime Day Kindle deals (and other Amazon device deals!) are the offers you can count on shopping. I have a lot of favorites, from the best and best things like the Kindle Paperwhite and the Echo Show 8 to the Kindle Scribe and the Echo Spot.
Now is the best time to shop all of this and more. Everything in this guide is not only wired tested and approved, but is now being sold. Need more transactions? Try our best Amazon Prime Day deal review and Prime Day LiveBlog.

The best Kindle deals
You can write Kindle
This is my personal favorite Kindle. Maybe I’m biased because I like digital notebooks, as many as e-readers, and because I’m a big reader on Kindle Unlimited, and by using Kindle Scribe (8/10, wired recommendation) through my Libby app, it’s easy to bundle all the features I use most. In the notebook section, it’s easy to outline notes and random ideas, and the screen is nice and large to enjoy reading my latest books. The battery also lasts well and for a long time – I’ve charged 3 times in the months I have.
The best Kindle
Run, don’t walk: The best Kindle is on sale. The 12th-generation Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition (8/10, wired recommendation) launched last year is a little bigger than the basic Kindle. It comes with warm light options and gentle eyes. Its performance is fast and smooth, and if you’re looking for a new Kindle, it’s overall the best option even if it’s not available. That’s now!
The minimalist Kindle
Last year, Amazon launched a new version of its basic Kindle, and despite being the simplest of its e-reader family, it’s still a great gadget. I’m the big fool of Matcha Green. It’s beautiful and small, perfect for sneaking around in a pocket or small bag and carrying around.
Colorful Kindle
If you’re looking for an e-reader in color but don’t want to spend too much money, then the good news: The Kindle Kindle Colorsoft (7/10, wired review) is available now on Prime Day. This is the first Kindle ever with a color screen, making the book’s cover and illustrations shine. Colorsoft has had some issues with performance and trading plans, so I recommend you buy a new one without trading your old Kindle. Since it started selling, it’s the perfect time.
Kid’s Kindle
If your kids want a Kindle and not just give them your old kids, but give them a Kindle kid free access to the kids + six months, and the cute cover they will love. Kids+ is a subscription service that provides access to a library of books designed for 3 to 12 years old and is available in Spanish. The cover design will make it easy for you to tell your kids’ Kindle from yourself (even if I want my own space whale option).
Kindle Bundle
If you are planning to buy a new basic Kindle, stop there. Instead, the Kindle bundle will be included on the sales of the 2024 Kindle, fabric cover and power adapter (because no, none of your Kindles are available. Sorry!). This is a great option to protect your brand new Kindle and get the first Kindle accessory.
The best echo trading
A little echo
I love this funny little speaker. The echo point (7/10, wired recommended) is located between the smart display and the basic speaker. I like it’s well-designed on the nightstand because it has a cute digital clock on the small screen (it looks like a semicircle, but it does have a small rectangular screen surrounded by a semicircle) and shows you the alert set for the next day. I love that it shows you the icons of the weather and song title, but ignores more distracting screen features. Likewise, perfect as a new smart assistant and alarm clock.
Alexa Smart Display
The Echo Show 8 (third generation) is one of the best all-round echo speakers, whether it’s a performance smart display or a regular Echo speaker, whether it’s a performance smart display or a regular Echo speaker. It can do almost everything in a good size and can do a lot of things: streaming video, connecting video calls with a 13-MP camera, showing you weather forecasts, controlling your smart home, and displaying widgets of your choice on the screen to customize your content. It also sounds great, making it a good speaker choice and a smart assistant. The only downside is that the constant slideshow will show ads, but you can escape it by turning on photo mode.
Small and powerful
Amazon Echo Point (5th Generation) is the petite version of the main echo. It can do everything it can, and while it is much smaller, it still has impressive sound quality and the bass is improved in older models. It’s already a great speaker at the price and is now on sale on Golden Day, which is even more authentic.
Nude smart display
This may look like a smart display, but focuses on one feature: controlling the smart home. The Echo Hub (8/10, Wired Recommendation) can still answer your questions, but you may find all the other features you might expect on a smart display on this device. I was surprised to say that I didn’t miss these features. This gadget is minimalist and serves as a hub for a smart home, with no interfering screen (or ads!), and its speakers are weaker, but it pairs with your preferred speakers that can send music requests to it.
Popularity
Amazon Echo Pop (7/10, Wired recommended) looks like someone cuts the echo point in half. This is a fun addition to a small room or bedroom as it has other echo colors. The sound quality is not as powerful as other Echo devices, but it’s great for casual listening. This is a great way to pop up (get it?) voice assistant and have a little color in any room.
Fire fighting equipment
Our Favorite Kids Budget Tablet
If you don’t want to go all out for your enthusiastic youngsters for Apple’s iPad, this fire TV tablet is a great budget alternative, especially on popular sales. This is best for kids over 8 years old because it has more mature content and more advanced design. You get great stuff from the Amazon ecosystem, including games, books, videos, and more, all filtered in adults in the room. We love the two-year worry-free warranty, especially if you have a kid-friendly kid, this price makes it cheap. – Ryan Waniata
Stable budget streaming
If all you need is cheap and stable streamers, it can show you TV and movies on Amazon Prime you never knew, which is a great option. This is a great choice for Dumber 4K TVS or even HD TVs, which may require a line change. After testing both, we still prefer the best streaming of the biggest TV for 4K TVs, but you can’t do a better job of voice searching at this price, especially if you like the Alexa as a co-pilot. – Ryan Waniata
Amazon’s top tablets
The Fire Max 11 (5/10, wired review) is the best fire tablet on Amazon, but it’s expensive for what you get, and it’s time for a sale event like Prime Day (I’m very interesting) to buy. The screen is firm, the speakers are pretty good, and the camera is 1080p. This is not the best Android tablet we have ever tried, but it’s worth it.
Streaming of attitude
If you like Amazon Prime shows, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max is your streaming device. It focuses on Amazon Prime, but you still have access to other streaming apps, so you won’t just lock in Prime shows. It can also be used with other Alexa-connected smart home devices.
